Complaint Review: Best Movers of America - Nationwide

Best Movers of America provided us with a binding contract. At the time, we were unaware they were a broker and they contracted our move to Social Moving Group. Ben Levi of Social Media Group at 6075 ATLANTIC BLVD SUITE C-1, NORCROSS, GA 30071 requested additional payments as high as $975 required all in cash for ridiculous reason such as long walk, labor, tape and packing materials. We fought against this fraud and eventually when we realized we had to move out of the apartment due to a lease that was ending; we agreed to pay as we were desperate. By that time however, Ben Levi was already upset and decided he longer wanted to do the job. We were almost begging and he told his mover to leave us and return the already paid

deposit for the pickup which was paid in cash for $750. It is highly unfortunate that Best Movers of America would assign our moving to Ben Levi of Norcross, GA from the Social Moving Group. His reviews on Yelp tell you the kind of person he is and who is. A greedy and lying individual. Please view for yourself:

We called BEST MOVERS OF AMERICA to complain but they seem to take the side of BEN LEVI claiming we asked him to leave and requested our deposit back. Now BMOA has refused to return our deposit already paid to them in the amount of $644.82. It seems they are a part of this scam as there has been a similar complaint on rip off report about this company:

We hate that we have to continue business with this company since they have refused to refund our deposit. All we want is our money back because they cannot be trusted.  We are now left at home with a home full of furniture, our deposits held at random and an apartment lease that is soon to terminate and has

not been cleared out. I will have to go on a month to month lease with my apartment as a result.

Ben further insulted us and was condensing, claiming we were the ones that are lying and rejected the job after we agreed to his new charges. 

I  intend to report Best Movers of America, along with employees Donna , to the Better Business Bureau, and the State's Attorney General in Florida,and OKC. I am going to push for criminal charges of wire fraud with the Department of Justice since they took our deposit from my fiancee's bank account in OKC and wired it to Florida.  The Wire Fraud Act makes it illegal to use interstate wire communications systems, which ostensibly includes the internet, to commit a fraud to obtain money or property. In addition, computer-aided theft involving the use of interstate wires or mails is considered criminal. Also, thirty-three states have enacted their own laws to combat computer crime, while eleven more have laws pending in state legislatures. Almost all of the present state laws criminalize using a computer as an instrument of fraud. 

I'm have already a complaint with the Department of Transportation, I am contacting the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) because this was an interstate theft and falls under the FBI's financial crimes division.  I am calling the Consumer Complaint hotline at 1-888-DOT-SAFT (368-7238), I'm filing a formal complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) because all moving companies are required to follow strict regulations or risk losing their license to do business.  

The U.S. Secret Service also maintains a Financial Crimes Division (FCD) that plans, reviews, and coordinates criminal investigations involving Financial Systems Crimes, including bank fraud; telecommunications fraud (cellular and hard wire); computer fraud; fraud involved false impersonation, and electronic funds transfer (EFT) done for fraudulent purposes.

I will also absolutely litigate this matter and ask the court for my deposit along with attorney fees, other significant expenses I have had to incur as a result of this fraud perpetuated by Best Movers of America, and any other sanctions the court sees fit to impose on this criminal organization.  

Upon the advice of my attorney, I will determine if a class action lawsuit is in the best interests of all Best Movers of America's previous customers.  We will petition the court to revoke the operating license for this disreputable company called Best Movers of America, and to impose additional personal fines and criminal penalties against the agents of Best Movers of America, Donna & , for voluntarily participating in a scheme to defraud the public and knowing outsourcing our move to a criminal in the name of BEN LEVI of Social Moving Group.
