If you read any of the store's literature, the store has a right to change their terms and conditions at any time. Your store is probably not even doing late fees any more and that's what YOU'RE calling it. It actually works like this...since you probably threw your receipt away, I'll explain it for the umpteenth time. You get a rental item and have a set number of days. Games are 5 days, movies are 2 or 7 days. You then get an extra 7 courtesy days of viewing/playing time WITHOUT being charged. After that 7 extra days, the item is then charged to the credit card on file because you've kept it out so long that the company assumes you enjoyed it SO MUCH, you want to keep it. So, you're charged the price of the item as if it were for sale previously viewed. Now, after it charges to the account/credit card on file, you then have exactly 30 days from the selling price to bring the item back. If you do get charged and return at item, it's 1.25 per item, which, four items is 5.00$. I don't know what store you rent at, but it seems as though that's what it is. And good luck renting video games in the future if you don't want your CC on file because it's needed to rent out the new games. You may bring your games back in an okay manner of time, but some people could go to 5 stores in a day, rent 3 games at each store and never return them. So, thank those people that ruined it for everyone.
