This company will lead you on with attractive prices up front and then charge you outrageous sums for shipping, while claiming that they make no money of shpping.  They must own the shipping company that they use and in the end you will get a bill from your credit card company showing shipping charges, three times what they should be.  They never even give you the oportunity to cancel the order.  Once they get you sucked in, they will take you for as much as they can.  If you do nay business here, you will "Ripped Off!"

From The Owner Of Blue Ridge Hobbies:

Without specific information for this customer it is hard to respond. However, it is the policy of Blue Ridge Hobbies to charge the actual cost of shipping via the USPS and Fedex. We do not mark up the cost of shipping. The cost of shippin is a pass through cost and is the exact cost USPS or Fedex charges! 

So, not sure what this customer is referring to as I do not recall any complaint of this type. 

This customer, if he is indeed a customer of Blue Ridge Hobies, would be able to compare shipping costs via the USPS.com and Fedex.com websites. They should find those prices would actually be higher since Blue Ridge Hobbies receives discount shipping rates. 

We do not "own the shipping company" they shippers are again the USPS or Fedex!

This person would have many remedies to this situation by filing a complaint with BRH, the BBB and their credit card company. No of which has occurred. 

There is no basis in fact, just the customers feeling and mis guided assumptions based on their comment.

Without knowing who this customer is and without any detail it is hard to respond. However, this is how shipping for orders works. 

Per the store policy pages which each customer must confirm they have read before an order can be processed: 

Estimated Shipping and Handling:

Shipping charges for services are exact cost and will not be quoted or estimated prior to order confirmation. We ship via the lowest cost shipper based on your location and shopping cart question responses. The shipping cost is the actual shipping cost! We have no control over the prices!

CONTINENTAL US

Most domestic orders are shipped US Postal Service First Class Mail for packages under 14oz  starting at about $5.40 per package. All packages are shipped by weight and we ship via the lowest cost carrier is used in all cases to save you money. We do not quote shipping rates in advance. If you want to lowest cost shipping choose the CHEAPEST option for shipping when you are checking out. 

United States Postal Service (USPS) and Fedex shipping is also available upon request. Bulky, heavy and high value items may be shipped exact charge via US Postal Service or Federal Express (Fedex). 

Please provide a street address for these FEDEX deliveries.  Shipping charges for these services are exact cost. Expedited services are available at actual costs.

So, stating that we have our own shipping compnay is a rediculous comment We are not Amazon! We ship via the USPS or Fedex Ground Only and the cost of that shipping is a ppast through cost with no markup. If this personal has a problem with the cost of the shipping they should contact either the USPS or Fedex about their rate.
