I wanted to join what I thought was BMG's Spanish music CD club. They told me that I was entitled to one free CD so I sent off for it. And it was from a computer site. I NEVER GOT THE CD. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM EITHER UNTIL I STARTED GETTING BILLED BY THEM FOR MERCHANDISE I NEVER ORDERED! Eventually, they must have found their mistake because they left me alone after that. Seems that I might have read something in the newspaper about one of those " record clubs" being busted for billing you for UNRECEIVED MERCHANDISE and MERCHANDISE that was NEVER ordered! They were ordered to cease and desist their schemes. So WHENEVER ANY CD or Book of the Month Club send me anything in the mail or in my e-mail, I TRASH IT IMMEDIATELY! I AM NOT SURE IF IT WAS BMG OR SOME RIPOFF OUTFIT CLAIMING TO BE BMG because on a computer WHO KNOWS! Whatever the case, I would make SURE it was ACTUALLY BMG instead of the people I dealt with. I threw all of the BOGUS bills away and I buy ALL of MY CDs in a REAL STORE where I can KNOW where and for what my money is going and that I am ACTUALLY GETTING the CD that I am buying!

I tried several times talking with BMG Employee's aobut my situation. I was placed on a monthly list (which they never told me about)and they sent me a CD, which I didn't order, or receive, and wanted me to pay over twenty eight bucks ($28.00). They said on the phone that the CD was shipped and that I must pay for it regardless. Well Hell no!! Now, after reporting them to the "GOVERMENT" and working with RIPOFFREPORT.COM, I called them this morning and "my my my my" wern't they nice. She said that they are going to cancel my bill and have the collection agency stop sending me notices that they are going to ruin my credit. "I will be watching". I'm not dropping my gaurd at this time, BGM might just want to throw me a cruve ball. THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE FOR ME WHEN I NEEDED SOMEONE TO VENT. If Bgm were to hurt my credit score because of their poor judgment, would I be able to sue them for their poor business practices? Once again thank- you! I'll let you know if things go for the bad. but please answer my one question. THANKS, THOMAS BRIMER

You can also call BMG and select not to have the featured selection sent to you every month if you dont send in the card on time. That way you order only what you want. In my honest opinion BMG is the best music club to be a member of compared to Columbia House.

I've been a BMG member for around 6 years and once I learned how they work it's been a good experience. If you don't pay attention though, you'll get hosed. I'm guessing you signed up with them and possibly you forgot to cancell your(Their) monthly selection? Once you sign up and get your free cd's-which btw aren't really free considering what they charge for s&h (This is where they make their money), you're obligated to buy a certain amount of cd's within a certain timeframe at regular price. If you forget to send in your cancellation of the monthly selection they'll go ahead and ship it and bill you anyways. My guess would be that this is what happened. But seeing as you didn't receive it, BMG is more than willing to reship missing orders pretty much no questions asked. In my few years with them I had one shipment that never arrived for whatever reason. After contacting customer service they showed up a few days later with no additional hassle. I was impressed. As far as record clubs go, it can seem like a bit of a scam if you don't read the membership agreement. But once you've completed your obligation you can find some great deals now and then. Don't buy anything for a few months and they practically give cd's away minus shipping and handling.

Were you already a member before getting the CD's or did you sign up to be a new member? Have you tried the customer service to tell them you never received the CD? I've been a member with BMG for about 5 years. I get one packet of advertisements from BMG per month with specials and catalogs.
