Bob Santilli aka Robert Santilli is a thief. My husband hired him in March 2013 for a crown molding job and base. We gave him over $2,000 in cash before learning it is illegal in the State of Califrnia to give a contractor over %2 of the amount before a contractor job is completed. My husband cannot recall physically seeing his license. He is not listed in the BBB website and there is no record of him on the Internet.
The nightmare begins: After researching this, we became a worried especially when the next month followed cancellation after cancellation. Bob Santilli continued to reassure the job would be started. It is now July 2013. Bob Santilli has drained my husband of over 2,000 grand. Everytime we ask for our money back (in which we kept all our receipts), he sets a date and never shows.
Solution: We have filed a lawsuit in small Claims court in San Diego County. Are next task is to have someone serve him the papers. He failed to provide us of any address only his phone number (619-249-0138). This is suppose to be his professional number. Our legal advisor advised us of options to serve him because of the lack of an address. The last time my husband spoke to Bob Santilli (aka Robert), he rose his voice, used profanity, and mocked us when the possibility of a lawsuit came up. At one point he exclaimed in his yelling spurt, "You want to do this the easy way or the hard way!" My husband is from Harlem NY and I am from Chicago and by far this did not deter us. The next week we filed the papers.
I am only posting this because of the fact he tried to intimidate a young couple who were new home owners. I do not want this to happen to anyone else, young or elderly. The most dishonorable part is my husband is active duty military going on 9 years and I am a veteran who got out after my 4 years. My husband and I have worked HARD for our savings and this is a huge slap in the face for trusting someone.

First off Bob Santilli was refered to my Grandmother by a mutal friend. Bob or "Robert" Santilli came to my Grandma's boat with promises to replace the old carpet. The new one my Granmother had picked out with Mr Santilli. He had Told her he needed $700 dollars up front to but material for the project. My Grandmother convinced handed over the cash willingly with an agreement of the job to be started the following week.
Bob Santilli never ever even started the job. He continued to give my Granmother excuse after excuse. Speaking with her he seemed pretty open to answering his phone and taking time for complaints. Robert "Bob" Santilli is a Fraud! He claims to have a carpet care company. The Fraudulant "carpet care company" is owned by Robert Santilli and his brother Mike Santilli.
His Buisness card claims he is located in Santee California. His Buisness card is a clear joke. Obviously he targets people he feels he can take advantage of. Do Not do Buisness with this man he is a Fraud.
