Bold Marketing Strategies Scam Indianapolis, Indiana
First off, this company really reels you in by offering handsome job titles and fancy job descriptions. They state on all of their advertisements, they're seeking "fun, energetic, competitive" young people - which is true, but also naive and kids who are seeking a "get-rich" plan right out of college. I was promised hundreds of dollars right off the bat because of the job description... Seriously, no one in this company makes money but the manager of the company. They lure you in with these promises and they make it seem like this is the best job ever, but really it bites the big one. First, as an entry level employee, you make next to nothing in the first 3-4 weeks you're there and you're restricted to almost nothing that constitutes being a "team player". Also, you're not allowed to do anything or hang out with any of your coworkers but then after you're "promoted", all you do is spend time up these people's butts. It's as if you can't catch a break from them. Second, you don't get compensated for time you spend traveling, the food that you consume while on the road and if something were to happen to you on the job, it's on you! They take no responsibility for you at all while you're working for them. Thirdly, the hours are awful! You spend about ten hours a day working for maybe $80 (if you're lucky $100)! That's hardly minimum wage...
I can say that it was a fun group of people to be around in the workplace, but it's almost like a cult. You're brainwashed into thinking this is where success is. This is how you will get successful, when really, only about 10% really make it to the top and even then you still report to your parent company, Cydcor. You don't run your own business, you have an office that you maintain for the top dog of it all, which is Cydcor. You have to meet a quota every day, week, month, year... As an entry-level, "leader", assistant manager, and finally manager.
I was warned by everyone not to take this job, but I didn't listen to anyone, and now I would give anything to not have taken that job. In the 2 months I was there, I may have made $600. The compensation is ridiculous for the amount of hours you put into this job. If you're needing some swaying on whether or not to take this job... Don't! Find a job that actually spells out what you're earning hourly and biweekly, but more importantly, don't be taken in by all the glitz and glamour they throw at you on career websites. They're a joke... I just wish I would have realized that before I took the job.
