Boost Mobile Unlimited Boasts unlimited phone for 45$ and for 5 more you get text and for 5 more than that you get web...supposedly.
The User Manual that comes with the phone specifys that you can use your cell phone as a USB modem. I have all the up to date drivers. Boost However will not allow me to do what I wish, even though it is clearly stated in the manual.
I have attempted to contact Boost Mobile SEVERAL times to no luck. The phone system puts you on hold and plays the same 4 songs over and over and if you stay on hold for about 4 hours, the SAME customer service rep answers (only 1 CSR???), but lately I cant even get that.
I revert to contacting customer support VIA the online submission system at boost mobile (www.boostmobile.com) to NO response whatsoever(its been about 3 weeks).
Boost needs a better CSR team, and needs to list the process of using your unlimited phone as a modem for your laptop under their FAQ's... not things people would already know... like "what do i do if i lose my phone"...
I am EXTREMELY disgusted by their customer service(non-existant).

I currently work for a PCS company, and I'll let you know that some companies will not allow their phones to connect and be used as a modem, although it is stated in the manual. The manual is manufacturer specification, which legally, CAN be changed by the service provider. Verizon is also famous for disabling many features on their phones. My provider, the company in which I work, doesn't disable anything, thank God.
