I have been paying BFS for home warranty and premium for air conditioners for almost 4~5 years, yet when I had continous problems with my dish washer instead of changing a new washer because they could not fix it - they blamed it on user abuse for having 2 roaches under the washer which caused the damage!
Scheduled an appointment for the 3rd time and on the day of the appointment I received a phone confirmation that a tech would be showing up between by 2pm that day. When no tech showed up I called and to my shock I was simply told - "sorry sir - your contract has been cancelled and no tech will be showing up"!
Astonished I asked for the manager Brian and he plainly told me yes he had decided to cancel my contract because I abused my dishwasher!
When asked why he chose to do that for my entire contract that covered air conditioning etc and why he had not called me prior & I may have decided t buy my own dishwasher instead if truly that was the issue - his curt response was " Well, I am sorry for that"!
He claimed BFS has already spent >$200 on boards repairs and not willing to spend anymore when I was abusing the dishwasher! Ridiculous when a dishwasher of the type I had could be replaced for $30 - he wouldn't answer why he simply hadn't chosen to just replace a new one for me!
BFS decided to terminate my contract without informing me and put me exposed to anything going wrong in my home for more than a week and avoided the cost of changing a new dishwasher when it came to that!
This company is a real cheat that cuts corners and never provides the service they promise even for a loyal customer with several years of patronage!
Their head office management LArry Herd never returns your call even though I was promised a response within 24 hrs!
The BBB should take stern action against this company before it rips off more people!
