Bubbleworks Car Wash ripoff Stephens City Virginia
In April 2005 I went to BubbleWorks car wash with my 6 year old son to vacuum out my vehicle. After cleaining out the interior I decided I would go through the "No Touch" carwash to save myself sometime ( unknown to myself I would only add time and frustration for weeks to come). Upon entering the carwash I pulled forward but relized I needed to be a couple inches more to the left so I put my vehicle in reverse to to pull it in more to the left, as there are no clearly marked spots as to where my truck should be alligned because they were worn off(also known as Deffered Matinence).
As soon as I moved in reverse I heard a loud metal noise and then relized that the metal grating had broke (also Deffered Matinence)and my truck was stuck in the concrete floor. It was very clear that the reinforcment bars in the floor had broke. The attendant working the grounds was very helpful and concerned as to our safety...first asking if we were OK and trying to calm us down since we were in shock. My husband was at work at the time so I tried to contact my father to come to the carwash. When my father arrived I contacted to police whom came out to tell me that they could not doing anything since the property was "Private Property" but did advised us to exchange insurance information. Shortly after the police arrived the owner did also whom was very rude and hesitante to provide his insurance information stating he had already contacted his agent who said they would do nothing. The owner implied I was drunk... This all occured at one oclock in the afternoon and my son was with me... "DRUNK" as he claimed was far far from the truth as I don't even drink anyway.
I do understand that going through any "No Touch Carwash" has risks (i.e. scratched and broken antennas etc.) but I certainly did not think my truck would fall through the floor when I was 6-8 inches off the beated path!!!!! I would advise anyone who would consider going to this "Death Trap" called "Bubbleworks Carwash" to think again.
