I saw this on TV and ordered online. When I had no confirmation email, and several weeks had passed, I tried to determine online the status of my order. Instead, another order was placed because I was on the website. Then I received a postcard telling me that it was sold out and asking if I wanted to cancel. I sent the postcard, asking that the order be canceled. However, a week later I received a bag. A day or so after that, I received another postcard asking if I wanted to cancel. I returned it, again saying that I wanted to cancel. Nevertheless, the next day I received a second bag. There was no bill of lading or other paperwork in either package. Not one shred of paperwork!
I got the phone number after much searching, and called in reference to the bags. I then learned that a third one was on order for me! I managed to cancel the third bag, but the red tape for the first two was so involved that I decided to keep one and give the other one to my daughter.
After a couple of months with this bag, my daughter and I agree that it is ugly, doesn't fit comfortably on the body (we are both normal weights and sizes), and it is top-heavy, so that it often turns over and spill the contents. I feel that my driver's license, credit cards, etc, are not safe inside this handbag! Both of these bags are going in the trash, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience in ordering one of these bags. I ordered one, but not directly from Buxton. I ordered mine through Publisher's Clearing House. I absolutely love the bag. Although I admit I don't keep my cash and credit cards loose in the bag, I use the compartment at the back, under the shoulder strap to put my wallet in. I am a purseaholic. I just love purses. You should have seen me go nuts over diaper bags. Took forever to find one I liked. I have been using my Buxton Bag for months now and have no yearning to change to another bag. The only time I've found the bag to be top heavy is when I stuffed too much stuff in the top pocket which is on the front of the bag. I have used this as an emergency diaper bag when I had to take my young daughter into a meeting. I have stuffed all my normal stuff into it, then added a big makeup bag, a digital camera and an extra pair of pantyhouse when I was going to a wedding. I love the expanding feature and the shoulder strap feature. The cell phone pocket is wonderful, keeps me from having to find the darn thing. I guess everyone is different though. I'm sorry you didn't like it. I love mine!
