Canexus EVE (Essay Verification Engine) EVE (Essay Verification Engine) 2.5 Eden Prairie, Minnesota
I purchased a (multi-user) license of EVE 2.5, which is an plagiarism checker. I got it installed and in spite of poor documentation, also got its key working. The product actually worked fine, till a virus checker started to see it as a threat and isolated the product.
For weeks, in multiple emails, to various departments, I requested help. No acknowledgement of the receipt of any of my emails was forthcoming, whereas earlier the processing of the license fee was prompt when it came to charging my credit card.
So here is the scam:
you have working software; you present it has a company supporting it, but all you have is an automated selling via internet. You also provide fake guarantees. Money keeps coming in. You live happily ever after, cashing the money and automatically wipe all incoming support questions.....
That's what Canexus is all about.
Be aware that after many years Canexus is still offering the same version 2.5! Have a look in the Waybackmachine.org and be shocked to see the website (100%?) unchanged since 2005.
Educators, please find another properly supported product to check student essays against plagiarism.
