The Canon Co. wants to be a superstar but it is worth than one small company. I guess their executives are not well prepared. I have got as a gift a japanese Canon Camera in the year 2004. It is a model 4 megapixel. It was working very well during two weeks. It was bought outsidde Brasil in a kind of " Airport's Freeshop". Of course this Canos company should respect consummers who travel worldwide and chose one of their products but they dont. I have sent hundreds of messages for this stupid Canon Company trying to contact them to inform to them about the problem with the Camera. I have tryed to contact some technician companies which fix cameras all over brasil but all of the use to tell to me thata my camera's model had no way to be fixed because "CANON do not have parts for it here in Brasil because this model was not made to be sold here in Brasil". But I am insistent and perseverant! every trip from the north of Brasil where i lve and I immediately put the CANON Camera in my luggage. Las december 2010 i found in Barsilia the capital of Brasil a technician and he told to me: " Let me talk to Canon in Sao Paulo becasue now they have a office to talk with us and i will try to get the part your camera needs. Please come back in a week".  At the right time I went back to the technician shop and  he told to me : " CANON said they don't have this part anymore because this product was a bad product and they made a worldwide recall and have changed all cameras.Thus i can't help you". After listening to thsi declaration and after many years trying to contact CANON by myself i just have to say: Why you make your stupid recal only in Sao Paulo if Barsil is big enough to take all the japanese population including the stupid Canon executives who don't think that a brazilian citizen can travel worldwide and buy a CANON product and also that a japanese citizen or an american cirizen can buy and give it as a gift for a journalist like me.I have to ask CANON' executives what is the dificculty to think wide.I do not accept this behavior of NO attention by CANON cameras and worse: Tehy want to be "The World Soccer Cup Camera" in 2014 in Brasil.

How, why if you do not have a good attention for your customers!

This is may report and protest!

I have other information about CANON cameras buyers who just put it away because their cameras had problems 2,4 or 8weeks later after purchasing.

Is this a real complaint? It's been hard to follow what you're trying to say here. It sounds to be like Canon did what they could for your unusual request, wait times are normal. There's little a company can do about this.

That you're not very pleased with the number of Japanese in Brazil. I've always thought it amusing that there are so many Japanese speaking Portuguese. I think they honed in on your land because it's relatively earthquake, monsoon and tsunami free, and maybe also for the women.
