Capital First contacted me today. They told me that they got my name from a credit bureau - and that I had bad credit. I am more than upset! Liars. My credit is just fine. I looked them up on the internet and then went to Rip Off Report and there was Capital First in all their glory. I am so glad I knew about Rip Off Report - they really saved me. Tomorrow, I am calling the Attorney General and the FBI and reporting that the credit bureau is passing on information. And I want my name taken off every mailing list. Then I am phoning the three credit bureaus and giving them a piece of my mind. They don't call me dragon lady for nothing. Kudos to Rip off report

Poor Sharon, you have been duped by your employer! Just like the rest of these victims here! Do you really think that you are working for a comapny that is on the up and up? NO! Start looking in the classifieds girl, cause they are coming down! They are connected/linked to SO MANY other DBA's, there is not enough room here to list them. YOU ONLY KNOW of that one, and maybe a couple more....GET REAL...WAKE UP!

I got the $2,500 credit card for $29.95 call. I had just paid off an old bill and thought that's why I got the call - my credit rating had improved. Luckily, I decided to think about it and research the company. I typed the phone number into a search engine and rip-off report was result #1!!!! Needless to say, I won't be ordering the card, or packet, or whatever. The funny thing is, the woman on the phone (Tanya) said that this was a great way to re-establish credit and that it was in fact, "a line of credit." What a lie!

I work for customer service with capital first. The people that are members of this company are called by a sales represenitive. They all go through a verification script after they speak with the sales rep to make sure that they were givin the correct information, that way, if they were mis-informed, they would know the correct information and then decide based on the correct information that was givin in the verification script. The verification script is a computerized script that asked them, After the tone please state your full name, after the tone please state your address, then it asks for them for their banking information. It also tells them that they are getting a pay as you go mastercard, that has a pay as you go limit up to $2,500. They are also told that this is NOT a line of credit. The amount that they deposit on the card is the amount that they will have to make purchases or obtain cash advances..If there are not any funds on the card, there may be a service charge at their bank. They are also told that there will be a charge of 59.95 and 99.95 to their account unless they cancel within 7 days. Then it goes on to say "You do understand and accept the terms of this offer. Please state yes or no after the tone." They have to agree to this before they can become a customer. I have had many people that call wanting to know what the statis of thier account is, when I go to look it up, I do see QC Reject, and that means that Quality control went over the verification recording and they did not hear a clear yes. I often ask the customer what they were told about the acct and they tell me that they were told that they were pre approved for a Master Card; and they were; A Pay As You Go Master Card. Alot of customers do admit when I ask them about the verification script that they just heard that they were approved for a master card and they just say yes to get it because they assumed it was a line of credit. What company is going to give people with derogitory or not enough credit, a CREDIT CARD with a $2,500 limit unsecured? I hope that people dont take offense to the remark I made about their credit history because my credit isnt good. The advice that I have for people all over is when you are signing up for something, listen to everything that is said to you, whether it be a person or a computer. Doing that could have saved these people $174.90.

Please, check your account very often in the next couple of weeks. You can find many reports on Capital First here or on other websites, but you can not find any report about successfully cancelling Capital First services. Many people tried, got some bogus name, cancellation number, then 1-2 days later Capital First hit their accounts. I have just read a report from a woman whose account was charged 5 times in one month with a total of amount $600 (!) from Capital First. Even without reading any other report, do not you think that a 024 cancellation number a little strange? From a "company" that must get hundreds of cancellation request every day? If you see any more charges, close your account.... (Request a dispute form, your bank can help to get back your money.)
