My fiancee and I were going through a rough time back in 2005, the engine on our car went out and it left us with no transportation. So my mom had told me about the sign she had seen going down New York St. at Car Credit America for $50 down, you drive today. I really didn't want to do it because my mom had purchased a car from this place and it was a total piece of crap, it always broke down and they would never fix it. She eventually traded it in and got a brand new Grand Prix. But anyways, times were hard and I needed a car fast. So my sister-in-law went with me to get a car from this place, she put it in her name because I had horrible credit. I ended up getting a 1998 Saturn and was in good condition, ran good. So after putting the $50 down then they told me that it would be $600 more for a down payment which would be paid biweekly for 3 payments then the payments of $152.10 would start biweekly for about 2 1/2 years. I didn't mind since I needed a car to get back and forth to work and take the kids to school. So it has been roughly 3 years, I fortunately had had no problems with my car, the car was paid off this summer. For a whole $12,000.00 which is way to much for a 1998 Saturn.
When the last payment was made back in July, the girl at the payment center said that the title would be arriving in the mail within 2 weeks. Well it is now December and still no title....so my sister-in-law called and now Greenwich Finance wants all of the receipts for my car before they will give the title.
This is crap.

Almost all of those car dealers on new york st. are crooks with the exception of u-save auto's. I've been scammed by new york auto sales and also have family and friends completly ripped off by them. also this place you referred to used to be jd byrider, they are famous for ripping off people. the "u-save" place is the only dealer on new york that i've heard "decent" things about.Also beware of "new york auto sales" they are the biggest crooks in aurora,with the owner famous for dealing in pounds of marijuana.(i'm sure that's his bread and butter) they prey on desperate people.You must be prepared to walk away if you don't like the deal. They will promise the world and leave you wishing you never got mixed up with them in the first place! 50 dollars down and then they want more? they should change their sign to "liars and thieves"
