Leased car on 8/28/15 with $200 down payment. On 9/11/15 I was driving vehicle when the radiator cooling fans stopped working, the air conditioning stopped working, the gas and temperature gauges stopped working and the stereo started going on and off continuously. I contacted Car Mart and was advised to bring car into dealership. Coming through an intersection the car shuts completely off, losing all power. Next morning contacted Car Mart again and they sent a tow truck for the car and took it to the mechanics. Dealer only tells mechanic that car dies in road but nothing about the fans, air, gauges or stereo not functioning. On 9/14/15 go to mechanics to pick up car and mechanic says it was out of gas. I ask why having no gas would make these things quit working and he says he wasn't informed of those problems. Mechanic says it sounds like the alternator and asked if I could come back the next day so they could check the alternator. Return to mechanics on 9/15/15 and mechanic says there were 2 fuses blown out on the side of the alternator and that is why the car died in the middle of the road. Before leaving mechanics I noticed that the stereo wouldn't come on at all so returned to the office and they pulled it inside garage to check fuses for stereo. I was informed by mechanic that the stereo wasn't properly installed and there were numerous wires running un safely through the vehicle. Car Mart contacted me and said I owed them $100 for the towing and service of the car because it was only out of gas. I told them that the mechanic said it was because of the blown fuses therefore I shouldn't be responsible for the towing and service. The day after retrieving car on 9/17/15 Car Mart came to my home and towed the vehicle away. The associate from Car Mart said they were repossessing the vehicle. When I asked why it was being repossessed she replied that it was because the manager had a feeling that I wouldn't make my payment on October 1st 2015. I was left without my car and without my money all because I complained about the vehicle not functioning properly.

Luckily I am not as ignorant as the people YOU apparently are accustomed to and not only did I pay $401 for an extended warranty but an extended warranty for the life of my lease with Car Mart. Meaning until I completely paid the vehicle off there are a number of repairs that are covered whether it be 2 weeks from leasing or 2 years. And yes looking over the 2 forms provided to me by Car Mart, 1 form of what IS covered and 1 form of what IS NOT covered, the issues concerning my car IS on the COVERED form. I am in total agreement that had I just been out of gas then I would deserve to pay $100 to Car Mart because then I would be some kind of ignoramous that doesnt even know when to put gas in my vehicle.
BUT after the mechanics 2nd look at the vehicle it WAS NOT out of gas, the fuses to the radiator had blown due to the faulty wiring of the stereo causing my gas and temperature gauges to not work. Because the mechanic WAS NOT told of any of the issues I had reported to Car Mart associate Karl ***** when the car died he automatically assumed it was out of gas because of the gas gauge malfunctioning. The mechanic was able to quickly and easily remedy the issues with a few changes of some fuses all except the stereo which I was going to replace along with the speakers and all the wiring anyway.
I was satisfied that the car was fixed and had no other complaints. I fully intended to pay not only my $350 car note for October but also the $520 in taxes due. I switched my car insurance over to this car and upgraded from liability for $66 a month to full coverage for $134 a month. There was absolutely no reason for them to come and reposess my car almost 2 weeks before I even have to make a payment. Now if you still think I am in the wrong for being pissed then I feel bad for the way you view the world and its people like you that make me sad for my kids that are soon to bring their own kids into a world where someone doing the right thing the right way is treated this way.

Hur de hur!!! Derpa derpa!! Get the reference?? Lets educate YOU a bit shall we. YOU purchased a USED vehicle. MEaning that no matter what, if YOU didn't pay for an extended warranty then NOTHING is covered. Its ALL on YOU!! I get that the car died in the intersection, atleast THAT is what YOU tell the web. If THEY said it was out of gas, who's responsible for filling the tank?? THATS RIGHT!!! YOU!!! Heres your gold star!! WHile yes YOU purchased a USED VEHICLE, THEY are under ZERO OBLIGATION to do ANYTHING for YOU after YOU drive it off the lot. THEY are protected from litigation by the simple FACT that YOU drove it off the lot. ANYTHING beyond the borders of THIER PROPERTY is NOT their responsibility. THEY don't know if YOU let your boyfriend work on it 5 mins after taking it off the lot!!! THEY don't know that YOU may have sabotaged the vehicle 10 mins AFTER driving off their property. The point is THEY DONT KNOW!!! THEY only have YOUR WORD that events played out as YOU have described them. YOU are trying to pull a CLASSIC SCAM. YOU don't THINK YOU should have to PAY for ANY repairs on the vehicle, so YOU will say ANYTHING you can in order for THEM to pay for YOUR issues. YOU are NOT being original in ANY WAY in this situation. I half expect that your next post is going to be something along the lines of YOU were sexually harassed and PRESSURED into buying that POS vehicle. That THEY stole your keys and at GUNPOINT MADE YOU SIGN THE PAPERWORK!!! The REALITY is that YOU purchased a USED vehicle and NOW have repairs that YOU have to pay for, THEN you get repoed due NOT to the complaining because that's just YOU whining about the POOR CHOICE you made. But that YOU probably threatened them with NON PAYMENT unless THEY fixed YOUR PROBLEM. As I said before, NOT being original in ANY way. All YOU are doing is defamation. All YOU are showing is that YOU are IGNORANT of YOUR states used vehicle laws and have attempted both bullying tactics AND victim tactics and when BOTH HAVE FAILED, YOU are NOW attempting social blackmail. ALL USED VEHICLES ARE PURCHASED AS IS UNLESS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY IS PURCHASED AT THE TIME OF THE SALE!!!!! PERIOD!!!!! There you go, YOU have NOW been informed of practically EVERY states used vehicle law. Now that YOU are nice and riled up, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION!!!! 1. With ANY used vehicle purchase, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to not only take it for a test drive but to ALSO have a third party mechanic look the vehicle over. THIS IS YOUR RIGHT AS A CONSUMER!!!!! USE IT!!!!! 2. READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant stress this enough!!! READ!READ!!READ!!!!!! And if YOU don't understand a paragraph or the figures are NOT adding up, THEN DONT SIGN!!!!!!!!! Right there is the biggest HERPA DURPA that ANY consumer can do. DONT let them "soothe" or "smooth over" anything YOU don't either understand OR agree with. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO LET AN ATTORNEY LOOK OVER THE PAPERWORK!!!!! Most will do it for a small fee. Better to PAY A LAWYER to look it over and point out WHERE YOU would be getting the financial shaft, then it is to have to LIVE WITH IT!!! 3. EXPECT PROBLEMS!!!! Every consumer out there is out for themselves. Make no mistake about that. So when that vehicle was traded in, you can be sure that the previous owner DID NOT disclose the problems THEY were having. So go into the situation with the understanding that the previous owner MAY NOT have told the people they were selling the vehicle to ALL of the problems. Go into the situation with the understanding that at the end of the day its YOUR vehicle. All YOU can do is these small steps to minimize the expenses YOU will have. I myself have just recently purchased a used vehicle. After owning it for around 50k miles the transmission gave out. Did I freak out?? YUP!!! A little!! But I understood it was MY car and I had to pay to repair it. I was INFORMED when I made the purchase. I had it looked over. I was TOLD about the transmission. BECAUSE I followed those little steps and had a mechanic I TRUSTED look the vehicle over BEFORE I purchased it. 4. DO NOT SIGN UNTIL YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE WITH THE SALE!!!! Its YOUR a*s on the line, its YOUR credit that gets screwed, its YOUR life that gets interrupted. YOU CAN ALWAYS SAY NO THANK YOU!!!! Just because YOU are THERE doesn't mean that YOU MUST make a purchase. I don't care if YOU waste hours of their time, its YOUR LIFE so DONT get into anything YOU are unsure of.
