I recently started an online application to Castle Payday loans. They require you to enter all of your personal and banking information before they ever take you to the page with the loan terms. When I saw the terms I tried to cancel the application, but there is no "Cancel" button on the page. They charged $350 fee for the $1000 loan for which I was approved, but I declined the terms. While searching for the "Cancel" button that doesn't exist on the page, I saw they broke down the loan repayment into 44 bi-weekly installments. If I had taken that loan for $1000 it would have cost me over $8900 to repay it under their terms. I had to close the application web page because there was no cancel button.
They immediately started calling me, and called for several days, from as early as 5am to as late as 11pm. Judging by the accents of the people who kept calling me I believe the call center is in the Philippines. I finally got the call center person to cancel my application. Even then they were hard sell and tried to change my mind.
Be aware of any online applications. Check the page and read the fine print before clicking on the accept button. They get your personal information and then can do anything with it, so I have to have a credit monitoring software for the next year to make sure they don't try to steal my identity.
