I was needing to boast my cellular signal in a remote location where I have a what has come to be referred to as "the lodge".

During my exploritory evaluation on cell phone signal boosters, I had originally worked with a Jay Nelson, who was quite helpful in explaining to me my options. When I called back and asked for Jay, I was told by a Kelly that he wasn't there and she would take over for him. I explained to her my situation and needs and she put together a package of items to meet my needs.

When I called back to place the order, I asked Kelly about the 30 Day Satification Guarantee, specifically about their "A minimum 10% restocking fee may apply" statement. I was told that if I needed to return the any of the items that:

"Products must be in original (new) condition with no signs of use, scratches, gouges, etc."

"Products must be in original product packaging, uncut, unmodified, and unused. This includes writing on the product packaging"

When I asked for clarification about what would invoke the "10% restocking fee" I was told that was in case they had to re-pack any of the items I had opened. Nothing about returning merchandise for "no good reason."

Trusting the information I received, I had the items shipped to the lodge.

When I got to the lodge, much to my delight, I discover a cell tower had been recently put up, whereby I was able to get the cell reception I was needing, without the use of the equipment I ordered from Cellular Solutions.

I immediately called and received an RMA. At no time did Kelly tell that there would be a 10% restocking fee. I was told the credit would take about two weeks, as they only did credits every other Friday. I immediately sent the box back - un-opened.

Two weeks later I called to confirm the receipt of the package and that the credit was being processed. When I asked how much was the credit, I was told, they were deducting 10% for a restocking fee.

When I asked why I was being charged the 10% restocking fee, when the equipment was returned unopened, I got the run around between a Tracy, a Kelly and an Amy.

It took three days, before I was finally told by Kelly that they were deducting the 10% because I had "no good reason to return the equipment, other that I didn't need it". I asked her where in their return policy did it state a 10% restocking fee would be applied for items return "for no good reason".

I remineded Kelly about my specific questions concerning the 10% restocking fee and her reiteriating the policy, and the fact that the equipment was returned unopened. I also pointed out that their return policy stated "A minimum 10% restocking fee MAY apply". She said I would have to talk to Tracy. Tracy's only salient comment was "The decision stands."

As a consumer who believes in "buyer beware" I had reasonably sought clarification about their return policy, trusted in their word, and complied fully with their return policy.

I believed Cellular Solutions acted in an dishonorable manner.

During a follow up call I was told I should be glad they only charged me 10%, they could have charged me 20%. Wow! Thanks Celular Solutions!
