After visiting the compositeeffects web site ( also known as cfx masks ) I was impressed with the pictures of their silicone masks and the quality of the paintjobs. CFXmasks are quite expensive compared to latex masks, but I really wanted to get something top notch for Halloween.

I bought one of these masks and it was delivered fast, but when I opened the box what I saw was nothing like the pictures they advertise on their website. The paintjob was sloppily and quickly done and in some areas you could even see the base color of the actual silicone! Also the seems were extremely visible.

My guess is they either photoshopped the pictures on the cfxmasks web site or they do a really special job painting up the ones that they use to advertise on the site. Either way, at $500 it was a complete ripoff.

I purchased six masks from Cfx in October 2010 for my haunted house production. Every single mask exceeded my expectations and was more than I had expected. They were works of art. Plain and simple. They arrived promptly, just as pictured online, and were carefully packed. My pervis the pig mask looked and felt so real I became nausiated when I saw it in action..believe me that's a good thing! The staff also spent ridiculous amounts of time with me on the phone answering all of my many questions and catering to my every need. Cfx masks are amazing and there is nothing out there that is even close in comparrision. I even reused the masks this October..they are durablie and breathtakingly ghoulish!

And one more note..I hate taking time to do these kinds of things..leave feed back all that kinda stuff. I googled .Cfx masks to check out their mask of the month and saw consumer rip-off report pop up..so I read the negative report..and have now spent about 30 minutes of my time creating an account and logging in..writing all that u have read...to defend the honor of Cfx masks!!!!!!!

Your mask was not made because of your dispute before the ship date. The order was cancelled before the production of your mask. I gave you an opportunity to remove the dispute and continue with your order, at which you displayed a continued disregard for our ordering and payment policies and no willingness to correct the situation.

You can not receive the mask in 2-3 weeks because our wait time is currently longer than that. You were informed of your wait time at the time of placing your order and received a copy of your invoice with that information and approved it.

Your lack of cooperation forced me to cancel your order and your inability to comment professionally led to your banning from the facebook page.

Because of this experience, we will not filling any future orders for you.

We ordering the Whipstitch masks from CFX last year and Wes and the gang there at CFX are amazing!  We did not have any trouble from them at all with ordering and when we got our masks the head that holds the mask had rubbed a hole in it and they imediately took it back with free shipping, fixed it and sent it back within a week so that we could have them in time to wear in our haunted house. 

I would recommend CFX masks to anyone looking to have a realistic looking costume for anything.  We have had several people come up to us while wearing ours to ask how how long it takes to have makeup like that put on and also if we actually shave our heads like that for the haunt. lol.

So, I am not sure if this guy just did not know what he was ordering, but we got exactly what we wanted from them.  They have great customer service as well!
Worth every penny!

I ordered my first CFX mask and recently received it. I was completely satisfied; it was even better than what I had expected. Usually when ordering items online, I don't get my hopes up as many times the picture was better than what actually came. The mask was packed well and looks great. It actually looks better than the photo on the website. I can't believe how realistic it looks and I cannot wait to wear it for Halloween as we have to dress up at work!

I am a partner/owner at CFX and my suspicions are that is report is not only inaccurate, but most likely fraudulent. To begin with, on checking our sales records, we have never shipped product to Fairfield, New Jersey or the surrounding areas. We have not received a complaint from any of our customers of this nature. In fact, the most common complain we receive is that the photos on our website do not do justice to the actual products we produce. Our actual reputation is based heavily on our attention to detail and acclaimed customer service. Some points to note also include: The report filed by Watchman2009 is heavily keyworded in the title (meaning that it contains several versions of our company name to make it more easily picked up by search engines). These keywords are particularly weighted towards the domain name "CFXmasks" which we have not yet advertised to our customers. Although it is also important to mention that this domain name was the subject of a dispute between our company and a direct competitor company that has a history of various contact information listings in, you guessed it, New Jersey. If this complaint is fraudulent, I'd like to ask that whoever posted it show some restraint with their opinions.
