Alright, this all started about 2 months ago when charter communications "upgraded" there service were everyone went up a bracket 5 to 8 10 to 16 15 to 25 and so on. My girlfreind and I were on the 10 mb service at the time. well about 2 months ago as i said at the beginning our internet started to go down at nights, thinking nothing of it and not having it happen so often we would just call charter and have them reset our modem over the next few weeks it got more and more frequent. We would go down for about 3-4 hours and then come back up for the rest of the day. I called charter and told them about this and they told me about this "outage" in my area, afterwards for the next week it would do the same thing i thought nothing of it. 2 weeks ago we started to go down starting at 9pm and we would be down for hours on end we would go to bed and come back and the internet would still be down. I contacted charter once again and they said theres nothing they can do theres an "outage" in our area. in the last week the internet has become very unstable to the point that its running on dialup. i called customer service again and they sent someone out to look at it. he told me it was my modem because it was an older one. i went into charter and replaced it with there new modem. the problem worsened.

So i called out to tech support again. and they told me i just needed to reset modem so i did it but nothing worked. on 4/2/2010 the internet took a turn for the worst the internet has become so bad its like using dialup or satellite internet actully my gfs parents out in the country have satellite internet and its faster then our 10 mb cable. i called the tech support guy on that friday and he was very good with me he told me he was having major loss age from his end he noted in our file and told us the tech guy would come out and fix the problem.

so the 6th comes around and i get a call at 11 am telling me my appt was canceled because i did not receive the calls before earlier that day. i received 1 call from then so i called them back and told them and the lady was very rude with me she was like oh they called 4 times this morning and u didnt awnser and im like my phones been next to me all morning and shes like well you didn't answer so we canceled. at 12pm the guy actully came to our house so i was happy that he made it out. but he didn't seem to know what he was doing i told him how unstable it was and he ran some stuff with his machine and was like it seems to be running good and im like you have to wait for it, it goes in and out. so he waited and it went out and he was like well ill go get you this piece that will boost the connection that will work. so he got it and left and 10 mins after he left it went out again.



i was very angry so i called them and got some girl who couldn't speak english very well and she told me to reset the internet modem and i told her that ive done it 4 times that day and didnt want to do it again because it would not work. i then asked her to refund me the 2 months i have loss for there poor service after waiting 22 mins on the phone for her to come back she tells me i can give u a 2 day credit coming to 4 dollars and 80 cents. i told her it wasent even worth it and hung up. 4 hours went by and no internet so i called back and i got that same guy who helped me the first time i told him what was going on and he said yes its still messed up from his end i tried to ask him what this outage was and he told me it was an area that had all there internet down.

I asked people around me and there all on charter and have no problems with people in my appt complex. my friend has lesser service then i do and his never goes out. i have another guy coming out tomorrow 4/8/2010. i hope he can fix the service and not dally around. IF anyone else has this same problem or similar please respond becuase i think this is a joke were paying 120+ a month for services that don't work 75% of the time!!!!!!
