Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My husband financed his car through JPMorgan Chase. As luck would have it18 months into the loan he was laid off. Until the last couple months we have always been current on the car loan and recently never  more than 30 days late once the payments are 10 days late we start receiving calls from JPMorgan Chase, a  terrible string of harassing phone calls, beginning at 8:30 until 9pm 24/7. Although we have never been more than 30 days late and telling Chase the payment would be made within 14 days, while we wait for his first check from his new job still will not stop the phone calls.  This has to be the poorest business relations I have ever experienced, especially in these troubled financial times. It has been our experience that Chase WILL NOT work with us while our other creditors have. Chase has only added to the stress of an unfortunate situation.  We are searching for a new loan company to take on this loan so that we will never had to be harassed by Chase again and will never do business with Chase in the future. WE are professionals and I plan to make sure our social network will be made well aware of Chases poor business practices.

I need clarification regarding your Rip off report.  You are admittedly late on your car payments, Chase wants their money, call you for it and THEY have poor business practices?  You made a contract, you are driving the car so I can see their point in wanting to contact you.  If you answer the phone and tell them by what day they should have their next payment, I don't think they would keep calling.  But if I am wrong and they call anyway, then that is what caller I.D. is for.

What I am not wrong about is you entitlement attitude.  You feel Chase is required to, "work" with you, as you say your other creditors have.  They have haven't they?  They haven't come and repossessed the car have they?  Here's a tip: You are not entitled to a car.  If you are a professional with such impeccable business practices, and are part of a very discerning social circle then you should know it is a poor business practice to violate the terms of a contract.

Chase isn't the problem.  This is not a rip off.  This is just another person who has regrettably fallen on hard times, and feels the need to blame a big company.  Make sure your social circle is well aware of that.

My main problem with them is I've repeatedly asked them over and over NOT to call me at my WORK phone.  They STILL do it!  I've been working with them to figure out how to make my payments as I have numerous hospital bills over the last year, the IRS is garnishing my checks and now my student loans.  I'm basically in financial hardship and probably going to do a voluntary repossession since they REFUSE to work with me.  they call me EVERY SINGLE day even Sundays!  At least once, maybe twice.  Demanding I call them back by a certain time or else... or else what?  They don't ever say.  I've asked DAN to stop calling me at work or else I'm going to get fired and he still does it!  I'm sick of it!  They are harassers and don't bother to try and help you with your situation. I've tried a refinance and all other options.  They all failed.  i don't want this car anymore!  My boss called me into her office last week and asked why Dan at Chase keeps calling me on my work phone!  He hunted me down last week when he bounced back to the receptionist.  thing is, we have a client here also chase and they just think he's calling on a file! NO, he's my bill collector.  he even calls on other peoples voice mails to have them have me call him! RIDICULOUS! I am now looking into getting an attorney as I don't want to lose my job and I have told him every time I talk to him don't call me at work!

ANSWER YOUR PHONE, CORRECT?

And it isn't 'against the Law' to HANG-UP on someone, right?

once the payments are 10 days late we start receiving calls from JPMorgan Chase, a terrible string of harassing phone calls, beginning at 8:30 until 9pm 24/7

- Just how can it be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if they call you from 8:30 to 9pm?.  Also they wait until you are 10 days late, in the Auto financing that is a LONG time.  Just look at the reports even on this site about people being called when they are only a day late.  Because late is late, it really does not matter if you are a day or a month.  Although after 30 days it starts going on your credit.

I also wonder about the "other creditors" who are willing to work with you.  Again you can look at numerous reports from people who say that this creditor or that creditor will no work with them, while everyone else will.  The interesting thing is that the creditor who will not work with these people is never the same, and sometimes a person will say this creditor won't work with them, but another person said they worked with them.

Not really knowing what your "other creditors" are.  But your money should go in the following priorities for bills(IMO).

1. Housing

2. ESSENTIAL utilities,

3. Food

4. Transportation

5. Credit Cards.

If you have your credit cards before anything else you probably should rethink your priorities and how much you really do want to keep the car.
