Complaint Review: Cherisse Lanier Attorney - Long Beach California

Scammed by legal vultures! Run dont walk from Ms. Lanier. It started on avvo i asked question about 5 million dollar trust i was beneficiary but taken out. Ms. Lanier answered and i had consultation phone . the pressure began Of numerous phone calls saying "this is your attorney". I ignored her calls until i decided go in for consult .

she pursued me with a contract which i refused sign. I took it home and gave her 50 dollars to leave me alone. Her calls continued until my cousin dragged me into her office .she said i had nothing to lose..a huge lie. On contingency i lost a million i believe. 40k definately was offered settlement. They got rid of me and represented the last remaining heir with my research and discovory. They filed thru Attorney Byron Danelle who was in same office listening via phone to my conferences. She had me sign conflict so perhaps im out luck .this attorney is the slimiest bs artist.

She wore a snake on her arm and professed new age spiritualism. Just a front. She pretended to have an associate named Doria Thomas. She immediately put her on case and ms lanier with 20 years exp. Was always unavailable. The synopsis is that i got taken n used and they claimed a break in which justifies my records getting into hands of Mr. danelle. The scheme lasted 2 years and im sick and broke. They purposely lost my case.i would not trust these 3 attorneys but most of all Ms. Lanier who claims to be spiritual. she should be in jail with Mr. danelle or lose license or sanctioned or suspended.

After they got the dough.the office was vacated and i was told id have find Ms.thomas . i was given back half the file told i couldnt get transcripts and when i asked ms. Lanier how long i had file appeal..she sluffed it off and ran out door totally avoiding me when i came to get my briefcase i left with her since my mother died on first day testimony in a sham trial. I wasnt even there since i rushed to her funeral. A legal reason for continuence but they carried on while i wad absent. And lost of course...knowing they were going for the whole pot with Mr. danelle.

To be brief i plan file charges on all of them. At least the bar should know about the great caper they pulled off at my expense. I knew Cherisse was representing my cousin n had me sign conflict waiver and made a false damaging statement ruining my credability. She had me sign statement a dead attorney named Gordon Gitlan had accompanied the influencing beneficiary to change trust. The deposition they attacked me but i explained that my attorney had done that i told them to take it out.

That mr gitlan had died of cancer years before trust existed. So i knew it was not legit from start. Especially when ms thomas showed to court in raggedy street clothes. I had no idea who she was but the first of ms laniers many misrepresented capers. Honestly these 3 attorneys pulled it off but im hoping the bar takes action before too many others get burned . im happy to share my story in detail if i can help someone else avoid feeling used and stupid . dont hesitate to report these 3 partners in crime. cherisse is the leader. She surfs the net looking for her victims. If u notice she answers far more questions on Avvo then any other attorney. I figured she was bored. report her and to the long beach PD.

I talked officer who claimed no breakin and no reports made. My advice . report them and ignore ms laniers persistent phone calls and solicitations in beginning to snag u. No worthwhile attorney would hunt you down and persistently leave messages...This is your attorney before they r hired. Trust your instincts. Mine was to get away from her and her voodoo. My lesson here get references..i had none! When u feel it isnt right like i felt dont sign any papers. The high pressure tactic. Report it...

 Look up how to file a complaint against a lawyer in your state. I would start with the bar association in your state. Promising an edge in a case due to voodoo? That reeks of an ethics violation.
