I only had to pay $150 early disactivation fee, nothing more. I am glad I went to a lawyer, seeing how I was with them for so long $250 disactivation fee was brought down to $150. As of the remainder of the $800...it was ate up by Cingular Wireless. People still ask me about them...my opinion hasn't changed. They still are awful on their service. The comment above mine is a good insight...it is my opinion, nothing more..nothing less.

AT&T and AT&T Wireless had been separate companies for three years. Regardless, Natasha does not want to be associated with AT&T Wireless -- or maybe anything branded AT&T. That's her opinion, and there is nothing wrong with an opinion. AT&T Wireless, Inc. is now a wholely owned subsidiary of Cingular Wireless LLC. If that upsets any Cingular subscribers, OK. But this acquisition of AT&T Wireless does not void any existing contract with AT&T Wireless, and AT&T Wireless still exists as a valid corporate entity. There is just no "AT&T Wireless" branded service now, at this time.

Can you not read??? You say you are their employee, yet where were you in Dec of 2004 when the mailed papers and fliers stating that they were now merged with AT&T to make a wider range of sevice? I worked for AT&T and lost my job b/c AT&T Wireless was to belong to Cingular. I saw how crooked the company was I worked for. I didn't want them to be near my wireless provider. Why would the lawyer I hire even state to me that they merged and my contract i invalid? Are you stating you know more then other individuals working for the same company as you? The merger isn't the only reason I switched wireless providers. Cingular loved to overcharge me and I have bills that show it. Every month I was in a Cingular office having it fixed or on the phone with an ASR. So I believe I will stick with my earlier comment not to give your money to the wolves, go elsewhere.

Cingular and AT&T didn't technically merge, considering AT&T isn't allowing Cingular to use the AT&T name in any way, shape, or form. Cingular basically just assumed all of the customers from AT&T, and are running everything on their system. Everything from equipment, customer service, and technical service is all Cingular, with nothing to do AT&T's wireless division. AT&T is going to restart a new wireless company in the next few years, having nothing to do with Cingular. So your cancellation of your agreement was with Cingular, since you have a service agreement with them.
