Cingular Wireless ripoff, false advertising, misleading sales via phone and internet, don't come thru with sales promos Nationwide
I purchased a new phone and upgraded my service, adding a new line via an internet offer with Cingular. I was told to contact the sales office by phone. I spoke with a representative, who told me I would reeive a free cingular slingpack with my order and a $30 rebate on the phone I purchased. The order came and no slingpack or rebate form were included. The phone I purchased was not set up for my calling plan so I was being charged $39.99 for a new plan. I did not know this until I called Bell South to confirm "combined billing".
In turn, called cingular and after arguing with the rep, was allowed to change my plan to one that worked. I was not even allowed to return the phone for one that would work with my previous calling plan. It has been over 4 weeks and I still have not received my free slingpack or my rebate. The slingpack is now being offered again on the website as a promo and after calling numerous times and being put on endless "HOLD", and arguing with rude representatives, no one seems to know where my slingpack is, or if I'll ever get it, I'm not even allowed to speak with a supervisor or manager, or have no knowledge of whom to file a complaint with.
The sales rep who took my order has been left numerous emails, supposedly, and she's never returned my calls either. Cingular is falsely advertising promos with no intentions of coming through on them. They should be made to remove the promos or to provide satisfatory service to their current customers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
