DURING MY MORTGAGE OF 4 YEARS, I DECIDED TO REFINANCE FOR 5% LESS OF WHAT I WAS PAYING WITH CITI MORTGAGE. DURING THE PROCESS, I ORDERED MY ORIGINAL NOTE FROM THEM WHICH WAS NEEDED TO CLOSE WITH MY NEW LENDER. I PAID C-M 10.00 ON MY CREDIT CARD FOR IT. THEY WOULD NOT SEND IT TO ME, BUT TOLD ME AFTER NEUMOROUS PHONE CALLS, THAT IT HAD BEEN SENT.
LONG STORY SHORT, I CAUGHT THEM IN A LIE. THEY NEVER SENT IT. TWO MONTHS GO BY, AND STILL NO PROGRESS. THEY WOULD NEVER GET ME ANYONE IN MANAGEMENT TO SPEAK WITH, AND THE REPS I DID SPEAK WITH COULD USUALLY SPEAK FAIR TO LITTLE ENGLISH, HOWEVER, EVERY 1ST OF THE MONTH, THEY WERE CALLING MY HOUSE WANTING TO KNOW WHERE THE PAYMENT WAS AND RUDELY AT THAT.
FINALLY, I FILED A SUIT IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT TO COLLECT TAKING MY MONEY AND FAILURE TO DISCLOSE MY DOCUMENT. DAMAGES TO INCLUDE LOST MONEYS THAT I WOULD HAVE SAVED WITH MY LOWER INTEREST RATE OVER TWO MONTHS, COURT COSTS, AND MY TEN DOLLARS. THEY DIDNT SHOW UP, AND LOST BY DEFAULT. AFTERWARDS, THEY CONTACTED ME IN AN ATTEMPT TO "SETTLE FOR A LESSER AMOUNT" I SAID NO. THEY DELAYED THE MONEY THEY OWED ME, SO I THREATENED TO SERVE A WRIT OF EXECUTION TO SEIZE PROPERTY FROM THEM AND THEY FINALLY PAID.
BY THE WAY, I NEVER RECIEVED THAT DOCUMENT, HOWEVER, MY NEW LENDER WAS ABLE TO GET AROUND THAT OBSTACLE ANOTHER WAY. BE AWARE OF WHAT YOUR GETTING INTO IF YOU DECIDE TO DO BUISNESS WITH CITI-MORTGAGE!!! MY NEW LENDER IS WATERMARK FINANCIAL WHICH APPEARENTLY DOES THE LOANS FOR WELLS FARGO WHO NOW OWNS ME. BOTH OF THEM ARE GREAT. I'D RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!
