I have had this account for four years, never late with payments. I pay this account online. The problem started this past November. My payment was due November 12, 2004. I paid it online on November 5. I clicked "authorize" and it said the payment went through. I paid my Capitol One account the same time. On November 13 I checked my bank account online and found that my Capitol One payment was posted but not Citibank. I immediately called Citibank and issued an electronic check in the amount of 313.00. In turn they raised my interest rate from 14% to 28%.

My payments are now over $400.00. What I consider funny about this whole situation is that in the past four years that I have been paying online I never got an email confirmation of the payment. Since December I have gotten two email confirmations on my payments. If this had been their policy all along I would not be writing this and contemplating bankrupcy.

I am a widow making only 19,000.00 a year. If they thought that I am such a bad credit risk, why does my credit report state from Citibank "never late, paying satisfactory". This is a matter of record. I have sent emails and written letters but I have been totally ignored. It looks like they could telephone me or even send me a form letter. This proves to me that Citibank dosent care about me or anyone else. All they want is money. This is nothing but pure unadultered greed.
