Last October, my wife and I decided to sell our boat, sell our big house, down size to condo, and buy a bigger boat. We placed the boat thru a broker, and began looking for a mortgage. My wife found a company on the internet. The company was the Bright Mortgage 10830 N. Central Expressway Suite 100 Dallas, Texas 75231. She contacted Clint R. Stidham, his cell # is 972-679-3637, and explained to Clint that the whole deal was hinged on the sale of the boat. She was sent an application via fax, which we filled out and sent back to Clint R. Stidham.

We got a contract on the boat, which fell through 3 days before close. She called Clint R. Stidham at Bright Mortgage aware of this. Clint R. Stidham, came back to her stating that we would still qualify. Both my wife and I sat down and did the numbers, and we both realized that we could not afford to buy the condo and keep the boat while making house payments.

Clint R. Stidham, from Bright Mortgage persisted, and just keep calling us and would not let the issue die. We were not pleased that Clint R. Stidham or Bright Mortgage would try to push us into this deal under these conditions. We decided to, on our own, sell the house. We contacted a local mortgage company, sold the house on our own, without a realtor, and purchased the condo. We never received anymore paperwork or anything from Clint R. Stidham or Bright Mortgage.....until a few months ago.

We came home from work and checked the mail, and there was a supoena for us to be in court, and Clint R. Stidham with Bright Mortgage stated that we owed them almost $6300.00 for services rendered??? We immediatly contacted an attorney, went to the initial hearing and told the judge that WE DID NOT OWE THIS!!!!!

Our attorney recommended that we attempt to settle....I was against the idea, but we offered $900.00 to settle just to have the whole mess disappear. They accepted, but we would never be able to file a complaint against them......I REFUSED!!!!! I want to make sure that Clint R. Stidham or Bright Mortgage never tries to pull this stunt on any other consumer!!!! We never received any "Right of Recision" paperwork, or any other document from Clint R. Stidham or Bright Mortgage....

The unjustice here is that to date, we have had to spend $3500.00 in attorneys fees, taken time from work to deal with this issue, and are not done yet...!!! At this point, If I have to take out a 2nd mortgage to fight Clint R. Stidham and Bright Mortgage, then i will!!!....

Wrong is wrong, and right is right... I have spent endless days research Clint R. Stidham and Bright Mortgage and found them to be involved in a lot of mortgage fraud complaints. I appalled at the complaints I have seen in the court house. Whats wrong with this picture???? And if you know of anyone that is contacted by Clint R. Stidham or Bright Mortgage, tell them they are thieves that are being investigated by the Fed's, and to Stay as fare away from them as possible.

Clint Stidham, Bright Mortgage is a thief pretending to be a mortgage office.

Stay away he is being investigated by the feds for mortgage fraud and identity thief.

Searching court records he has 4 felony convictions.

The report filed against Clint R. Stidham is indeed a hoax. The writer "TONY" is actually a known scam artist named Kevin Lane from the greater Los Angeles, CA area. He uses aliases and slanderous, plagerized reports to retaliate against the victims who reported him originally. Please furtherreference other Ripoff Reports by searching KEVIN LANEand/or American Media Corp.

The Ripoff Report filed against my company and I is an obvious hoax and is slanderous. There are several key factors that the author was apparently unaware of and did not take the time to research. First, the fraud (or author) states that he was invloved in a sour deal back in October of last year involving me. Unfortunately, I am new to Bright Mortgage as of this year. I did not work for Bright last year, nor was I writing loans as a State of Texas Loan Officer. In fact, it is February I am just now getting my first mortgages with Bright completed. Secondly, the author writes as if he began his dealings with me in October, time passed as a series of events took place (such as repeated calls, subpoenas, legal proceedings, etc), then he got a subpoena from me a few months ago?! Well, a few months ago it was November. There was not enough time allotted in his story for all or any of those events to take place. Thirdly, the author states that I have four felony convictions. Well, I would not have received my license in December nor would I have a job with Bright if I had any felonies on my record. I don't even have a misdemeanor against me! Fourthly, the company that I have chosen to work for has an outstanding reputation in Dallas. In fact, they have been ranked in the Top Ten Most Dependable mortgage companies in Texas by SouthWest's Spirit magazine! This company knows nothing but honesty and integrity. Lastly, I will show you proof that this was a bad attempt at slandering me and my company. The author not only is dishonest. He is also a plagiarist. I found the exact same story online that had been copied: https://post.complaints.com/post.php?followup=6&original_id=121339 Only the names have been changed, but the story is identical. I am not sure what the author's motive is here, but he apparently has no dirt on us. Thank you for your time.
