Synergy Management in Charleston, SC is a joke! They lure people in who are in need of employment by promising financial freedom. Once hired, you go door to door to talk people into replacing their windshields. You get paid $45.00 per install, but that's only if it gets installed. More times than not, the customers get upset because of the extremely poor customer service by "Coast to Coast." Often times, when the customer is scheduled to have their windshield replaced, nobody calls them at all, more so, the installers don't even show up. So, an account rep for this horrible company has to spend all day knocking on doors just to not get a paycheck.
This company also holds back two weeks of pay, and once you receive your first paycheck, it will be little to nothing. By the time your second paycheck rolls around, it too will be a heck of a lot less than you possibly imagined. The manager hand writes your paycheck on a company check and you will have no idea about any deductions. Why? Because you will NOT receive a pay stub indicating ANY deductions.
Once hired, you will be taken to their "atmosphere" room where the music is so loud you can hardly hear yourself think. There, you will undergo "training." You will be asked to report to work around 10 in the morning, and in most cases, stay in that room until around noon. You are a "commission only" employee who has to undergo unpaid mandatory two hours of training! After the alleged training session, you will go to an area and work. However, as an employee, you are not allowed back to the office until after 8pm. So, add the hours up! From 10am to 8pm Monday thru Friday. That's 10 hours minimum. And once you get back to the office after 8pm, you will spend another 30 or so minutes inside the "atmosphere" room. Hopefully, the manager will not want to announce a meeting. If that happens, you will be there much longer!
Saturday's! This is a funny one! According to management, it is an invitation only. However, you will be expected to work on Saturday's as well. Now, you get to the office before 9am. This day is referred to as a "short" day, but you can expect to work around 9 hours. All of this, under the promise of making it "BIG."
Promotions! Yeah right! When an individual gets promoted to an Account Manager, this is nothing more than a scam within a scam. As an Account Manager, not only do you have to go out and bust your butt to not get paid, but now you have to feed someone else who is in training while filling that person up with the company lies.
As an employee, you should be aware that this company expects you to go into areas where they know they do not have a license to operate. If you get stopped by law enforcement, you can receive a citation in which management will NOT assist you with paying. In other words, you will be doing all the work, and taking all the risks, all for little to no money.
The only good thing I can say about Synergy Management and Coast to Coast Auto Glass is that they do use top of the line auto glass, being that of Pilkington. However, due to poor workmanship, many customers will call you with some form of complaints in which warranty issues are the last of this company's concerns. So, if you are a customer...Sorry! They brag about how large Coast to Coast is, but for some very odd reason, this company is NOT on the insurance companies "Preferred" lists. There's just got to be a good reason for them NOT being on that list, being that they are so big!
***If you are seeking employment, do yourself a tremendous favor and don't even spend the gas to go to an interview. If you do, and you get suckered in, then you will quickly discover that everything I have said here is 100% true!
***If you are a potential customer, just call your insurance company and cancel. You will be glad you did. There are several auto glass companies throughout the Charleston area who are on the insurance companies "Preferred" lists, and who pride themselves on customer service. Chances are, if one of their account reps knocks on your door, unfortunately, they are probably doing so illegally.
Being one step in front of this pathetic company, they just might offer a rebuttal calling me a former disgruntled employee. Also, they might just toss out that I didn't believe in their program, and that's why I didn't make it. Well, I was disgruntled, and I didn't swallow their pack of lies either. I did work for them, however, I saw right through all the hyped up talk and swollen pipe dreams. Daily, I questioned why we didn't have the proper license, and was lied to on a daily basis. I was sick and tired of the way they treated customers who had warranty complaints, and rescheduling issues. More so, I was fed up with making very little money and hearing the manager brag about all the money he was making. With all that money he bragged about making, I simply couldn't understand why he refused to obtain the necessary license making his company, and its employees, legal.
Good luck!!!
