On May 1st as a Mother's Day gift, I placed an online order from http://www.collectiblestoday.com/ct/store_main.jsp
The home page at the time said, "Order by 7pm for guaranteed delivery by Mother's Day" .... The next day when I checked the email confirmation it said there was a 6-10 week back order. So, I went through the contact us routine and asked that the order be canceled. They never replied. Fast forward a couple of weeks to May 19th and I get an email telling me the item had been shipped. And the money was taken out of my account.
Now, almost a month later it still hasn't shown up.
I just called them, and I have to wait until June 25th to file a complaint asking for a refund. Why the 25th? Well they couldn't explain that to me. She said it has to be 30 days from the time it was mailed. Ummm... you're email to me said it was mailed on the 19th, May having 31 days makes June 17th 30 days. If you're talking business days, then it's later than the 25th.
The customer service rep actually said to me, "Well there's a note here that says you wanted to cancel so why are you upset that you didn't get it?"
My, "OH, so you do have that email? Funny how I was never contacted about it and the item was shipped out (supposedly) anyway. And I was certainly charged for it." Didn't even get me an apology.
I have never had trouble ordering anything online before. And I'm a major major online shopper.
