They took a $20 fee from me, and never provided the paid for tour.
I was not given a receipt. Since this was on a (former) military base, now NASA base, I assumed it was in some way associated with the US Military.
I was put in a hot corral with no water or shade for many hours with a number of other people. I finally had to leave and asked for my money back. I was told I could come back in with the code word grasshopper. I was unable to return. I've asked for a refund. No response from the organization. Frankly, everyone was very upset with these people for taking our money and then parking us in the sun while other people were provided a shaded pavilion to wait for ride in these aircraft.
I later discovered this stop was NOT on their tour. So I don't know if this was a last minute addition, poorly planned and executed, or a scam where someone was profiting from this unplanned stop over. In any case it was not run professionally. No tickets were issued. It was not a Planned Stop on the Tour. No refunds were given.
Nothing about it was properly managed. Frankly given my wasted time, I feel a $20 refund is inadequate for the shenanighans they put all of us through. I was glad I was able to identify this organization through the name of the aircraft whose photos I took. These all belong to this organization. They are clearly identified on their web site.
The offered a tour, did not give it. They were extremely grasping and high pressure and quickly took my money and offered nothing in return. I would never donate to them after this unpleasant experience. I want my money back. And I'd like to punch the fellow who took my money in the nose.
I can forgo the later, but not the $20. I want a refund simply becuase they were so rude to all of us. I can document that I was in Sunnyvale California at the time they were, and that their aircraft were present there, even though it was not a planned tour stop it was halfway between two of the planned tour locations.
