Hello there - unfortunately I have been victimized too. (I posted my complaint on this site too. Do a search for Compass, Compass Bancshares, Inc. and you'll see mine. I hope this gets someone's attention because Compass refuses to accept responsibility). To summarize: I have received nearly $600 in NSF over the past 3 months for something they call "priority" when posting checks, visa debits, atms etc to your account. They pay the highest amount first then the next highest and so on. But what they forget is when you use a Visa debit or atm those are "true verified and available" funds. They approve the amount to be charged but when it comes to posting to the account they "bounce" if a check comes in a day later or so forth that is a penny higher. THIS IS ILLEGAL BANKING AND I'M FILING A REPORT. I invite you do the same by contacting this guy from the Florida State Department of Consumer Financial Services. His name is Bruce Watterson (in fact talked to him today and I'm sending a brief statement to what Compass is doing to my account and the huge NSF fees - fees on fees etc). Below is the address: Consumer Financial Services Bruce Watterson 200 E. Gaines St. Tallahasee, FL 32399-0362 Please - write him and we'll attack this from more than one point of view. The state will have to audit Compass
