Computer Based Associates Inc after 30 days the dumped the hard drive without previous notification miami Florida
By phone they claim to recover the data at a lower price than the rest in the market, they refer to the initial payment to get an estimate, I paid 150. Then the estimate was 1,700. It took me more than 30 days to decide wether I could paid this amount. When I called to decline the estimate (around 2 months after) they told me they have dumped the hard drive. I asked what if I am willing to pay the 1.700? they said they could look for the hard drive and see if they could still do the work. I never had a receipt that specifically said that after 30 days the hard drive will be dumped. In fact I have no receipt at all. Bottom line: I lost hope of recovering 5 years of family pictures in the hands of a Data Recovery Specialist named Computer Based Associates Inc.
They don´t seem to understand english, maybe this is the way they do business and deal with clients in their conuntry. Do not trust them, and certainly do not recomend them. Not fair business behaviour. Not working with old shoes, this is DATA RECOVERY, and they already received 150 dollars in advance, at least give a call before dumping the drive.
