I received a telephone call from a telemarketer requesting that I send them some money for my monthly subscription. the female voice bulgerantly told me that I had to send the money like that day.
I told her that I did not receive a notice regarding my account bill. I told her that I didn't have the money right away. She then demanded that I use a credit card. I told her that I do not have a credit card available. She continued pressuring me to pay up with the check-over-the-phone option. I told her that I do not have a checking account that I could use, besides the bank has to authorize the debit from your account. I told her that I get paid once a month and she suggested that I use the automatic check debit option, where the amount is deducted out of my account on payday.
Finally, we compromised on something. However, I was so frustrated that I wrote a letter to them stating that the female telemarketer that I spoke to was bulgerent and rude and very demanding. I stated in the letter that I was unsatisfied with the service there provided. I worte that I requested to have my subscription cancelled and that I would pay my monthly payment in agreement to that. I sent the money off accompanied with my letter.
Approximately 3 weeks later, I received another bill regarding my account with no response to my letter. I failed to call them back stating why they didn't respect my wishes and cacel.
I am very upset that such a company advertises in a way to deceive its customers. It is very poor customer relations. And the contest I believe is just a ploy to get them to comply. Also, the free gift they told me I would get, I never received. Please is there anything that I can do to keep my credit good without this "company" screwing it up?? Their customer service is a joke. All lies, no promises kept.
