Consumer First ripoff Tampa Florida
Received a certifate in the mail from Consumer First. Their Card Processing Center was listed on the envelope as PO Box 15386, Tampa, Florida 33684-5386. They required a one time $45.00 membership and $49.00 for the card to be sent immediately, for a platinum card with O% APR 1st 12 months etc. The approval was signed by a Robert Stevens.
Normally being, what I thought was a smart and careful consumer, I sent a $49.00 money order. Ran across this site and now I know I was scammed. Have received
absolutely nothing. The only contact information was the return address on the envelope. Called information today (November 29th, 2002) and found that there is no Card Processing Center in Tampa, Florida listed.
What really ticks me off, my mother worked for the Better Business Bureau and has many contacts with the Federal Trade Commission. I feel really stupid. I will be going after these people. Hope you can HELP me.
