Consumer Reward Network, #1023 Health Network Unlimited #1023 AutoGold ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing and unauthorized debits my checking account Ripoff Woodland Hills California
Some foreign telemarketer, using the name Alex Jones #108945(most likely calling from New Delphia, India). Informed me that I had been awarded a $500 spending spee from WAL-MART, however, to received these unexpirable certificates, I must pay a $4.95 handling charge via my checking account. At the time of the first call I was in a hurry and told him to call me back. Never expecting to receive a second call. When the second call came in
I listen to all the information, all the time Alex reassured me that I would be under not obligation to accept and other charges would not be charged to my account without my authorization. Additionally, I had 10 days and in one case 30 days to cancel. This call took place on Saturday, April 23,2005. On Thursday, April 28, 2005 my account was charged the $4.95 and the unauthorized $129.90.
On Friday, April 29, 2005 another unauthorized charge of $104.90 was debited. This was less that six (6) days. Nor have I received any packages, other information, or most importantly the promised spending certificates. As of the date of this compliant (May 5, 2005) I have not received the promised certificates. On Monday, May 2, 2005, I called the customer service numbers given, have a very hard time getting through and cancelled everything and demand a refund. Additionally,I called my bank and informed them that those debits were unauthorized. I was too late. These unauthorized debits has cost me several hundred dollars. I am unemployed and have been for more than a year. The little funds I had were for necessary bills and food. As I write this I will write WAL-MART Corp and inform them that their name is being used to ripoff poor consumers.
