On Wednesday 03/23/2012 electronic pay stubs were sent out to employees that have direct deposit with itemization of pay and that the deposit date was on 03/25/2012, the normal paydate. Direct deposit did not occur for employees at 12:01 EST(the normal time for posting). On Friday morning, 03/25/2012, the company sent out an email to all employees on direct deposit stating:
This morning Convergence was notified that todays direct deposit payments have been
delayed. We have been advised by Wells Fargo that funds will be transferred to
your account this afternoon or tomorrow (Friday, May 25 or Saturday, May 26).
The delay was caused by a banking system delay on the part of Wells Fargo not by
Convergence.
We have been assured by our bank that this issue will not happen again. On behalf
of Wells Fargo and Convergence, we apologize for any inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Convergence
Marketing
There was also a broadcast message sent out by phone at approximately 1 PM CST stating the same thing.
As of Sunday, May 27, direct deposits have NOT been transferred to employees accounts, and there has been NO MORE communication. I had emailed the payroll department when I received the email stating if our banks would at least be notified that there were pending transactions so that employees could access their funds rightfully due them, and received the reply:
It all depends on your bank when the funds will clear.
Best

My husband and I both do work for this company and have two different banks for our direct deposits. Nothing has been noted on either account. This is a bank holiday weekend, so employees don't know when they will be paid, and it seems highly suspect that WELLS FARGO couldn't "fix" a "banking systems delay" in 2 BUSINESS BANKING DAYS.
Has anyone actually gotten paid for this pay period? Reports show that there are 85 or so physical employees stationed locally, but reports show anywhere from 4000 to 10000 outsourced positions such as myself employed. We are considered W2 employees and have taxes taken out. Not all those employees use direct deposit, but it is probable the MAJORITY do. Does anyone have any idea who to contact to file official complaints, or how to get QUICK resolution?
