Greetings to all who read this note!!
There is as far as I can tell just one negative report for Coughlin Kia of Newark, Ohio and it has to do with one individual. I am assuming that he was a "he" as the handle used in the post was by "REBEL". It seems as though he had a minor problem with his vehicle and believed that Coughlin compounded his problems or at least added to them and created more expense for him.
Along the lines of 15 months ago, I purchased a BRAND NEW 2013 Kia Sorento from the same dealership and my sales rep was JIM MILLER. About 15 years ago when I was in a period of "financial stress", JIM MILLER was working (selling cars) at Indian Mound Pontiac Mazda which at that time was a new car dealership but is now gone by the wayside.
I needed a car to get to work so I could support my family but had limited funds available. As I walked around what I call the "skid row" of used vehicles..........you the ones.............they may start today but ya don't know about tomorrow. The salesman came out of the building with a friendly greeting and JIM MILLER was and still is his name.
Jim asked me what I was looking for and I replied...........something CHEAP as I only had $500.00 cash to work with and any payments were out of the question. He and I wandered around the used vehicle section for some time until we came across one that had $499.99 on the windshield. The final price with tax, title, fees, and tags was a little over $600.00 but I had only $500.00 to work with. The bottom line is that after Jim reworked the numbers.......the dealership took a loss on the sale and JIM MILLER threw in the ONE CENT because the final price to me was $500.01 and ya just can't get any better than that!!!
If you are in need of a car, go see Jim Miller at Coughlin Kia in Newark Ohio as he will put you in a vehicle and do it cheap. During the past 15 months or so, I have had several oil changes done at Coughlin Kia of Newark, Ohio and the last did cause me some concern. As with the posting by "REBEL" the service department price seemed out of line.
I was told that the rear wheels were out of alignment and I was quoted a price of "about" $120.00 plus tax and shop fees to correct the problem on my new vehicle. I said no thanks but immediatley went to STRAIGHT LINE AUOTMOTIVE in Heath, Ohio.......about 9 miles away and on my way home. They confirmed that there was a problem and did a complete 4 wheel alignment in about 25 minutes for a little LESS THAN $65.00 including taxes and shop fees!
