Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This started in Nov of 2006, my husband got laid off from his job and my ex-husband got laid off from his job. I figured out that we were missing $2,028 a month from loss of incomes. We got behind on our mortgage and other bills. I worked 3 jobs for about 4 months and we weren't making ay head way. I was in very good contact with Countrywide as to what our financial situation was.

They kept telling me not to worry and they will help us. My husband called his 401k they said we could do a hardship so we had countrywide fax the 401k a statement and to include the payment coming up. We contacted 401k to see what date we would be getting our check, then called countrywide and told them the date we were going to get the check. Countrywide said no probblem, they would note the computer.

The day we got the check we went to pay and they told us our loan was in full forclosure and we need to come up with an extra $3,000. We were able to get some more money and then sent them a certified bank check (per their request) I called them 2 days later and they said they were sending it back because it wasn't the type of check they requested. I ended up calling their lawyers and they told countrywide to apply the check to our loan and make us current.

We were doing good until my ex-husband quit his job and I wasn't getting child support again. This was late Sept of 2007 also my husband never got called back to his job and had to take other jobs that started him a little bit above minum wage. I contacted countrywide to see if we could do a hardship on our loan they told us to fax in the documents and I did. I tried making a phone pmt and they wouldn't except it and said to hang onto my money until our negotiator calls us. I called ever other day and nobody would call us back. I tried sending money, all they do is send it back. They told me that they have been calling us, I said that it was a little hard to believe when there are no messages left on my answering machine and nothing on the caller ID.

Now still 6 months later, I still get the run around and they keep telling me the negotiator will call. I called them tonight and asked why they won't call. In his words "yeah, it will be a long time before they call you." How ruid!!!!

I was also told in one of my phone a couple weeks ago that in their words "Your negotiator will call when they are ready to talk to you."

In Jan 2008 I called the hope line and I still am in contact with them. They can't believe how countrywide is treating us and they don't know how to help us if countrywide won't give us the time of day.

When I do call countrywide they always have the wrong financial info about us and usually I give them my account number and they hang up on me and then I have to call back.

I don't know what to do any more, I can't sell. Our home needs to many major repairs and we would never get rid of it. Everthing you buy is getting to expencive and people in my area are lossing jobs left and right. So selling is out.

We are in need of help, this is unfair to us and everyone else that countrywide is doing this to. I would love to put them in their place!!!

I have alot more info to say about them but nobody to tell that can help us.

They say they are helping, Yah right. I had called the hope line in January and they told me Countrywide would talk to me about 3 different opions for our loan. Well Countrywide sent me a Repayment Plan agreement. A terms and conditions they say.. us and Countrywide had agreed upon. Agreed upon, No they told me what to do and we had no say in the matter. From talking with the negotiator, she said payment due on the 8th and they would only except western union which cost us more money. In this letter it says our payments are due on the 11th and we can pay casher's check, money order or certified bank check. So which is it??? Then they write we have 5 days to sign and return from the date of the letter. Nice, 2 days to look over this letter. In addition they are also charging us with $102.50 for Property Inspection/Preservation Fees and $2,974.00 for Foreclosure/Bankruptcy Costs Fees. What I talked to Countrywide and on the 25th of March and our loan was never in foreclosure. They also told me that we were $6,000.00 behind and their total on this paperwork is $11,420.04. I would REALY like to know where they came up with this. They also wrote up a payment schedule for us. 4-11-08 through 7-11-08 we pay 893.17 on the 11th of each month then 8-11-08 we pay 12,360.72. Helping us, They are sticking it to us. I'd like to stick it to them Please can anyone help us to let us know what to do????
