IMPORTANT EDITOR’S NOTE - Sept. 13, 2013: As a matter of policy and like most other websites which allow users to post complaints, Ripoff Report generally does not investigate the accuracy of reports on our site. In addition, as explained here, we also have a strict policy against removing reports.

Pursuant to our policy, Ripoff Report attempted to contact the author of the report shown below which originally contained allegations of serious criminal conduct. We asked the author to provide documentation to support these claims. Unfortunately, the author failed to respond to our request. During our investigation, we also learned that the author used a “proxy” to conceal his/her true IP address. In our experience, this strongly suggests that the author may have fabricated all or part of the report.
For this reason, we have chosen to (((REDACT))) certain portions of the report you see below. As for the remaining portions, you should regard this material as unverified and likely untrue.
NOW TO THE REPORT THAT WAS FILED:
Bill Girdner, CEO of Courthouse News Service was accused of (((REDACTED))). Whistle-blower James Murray provided information claiming that Girdner harbored a terrible secret. He says it is "definitely" fair to say he thought the company participated (((REDACTED))), according to Murray. He says the company cut corners for profit, making up stories and inventing lawsuits to publish on their popular website. It is alleged that Girdner would (((REDACTED))).
Earlier, it was stated that Girdner and staff writer Iulia Filip was (((REDACTED)))
Courthouse News Service has a website that publishes articles from the plaintiffs perspective, citing quotes out of the complaint that has been filed. [continued below]...
..... What is missing from their online publication is the answer the the complaint. Also missing is the ability for members of the public, or the defendant to reply to the complaint. So, if the complaint was written with numerous falsehoods, their one-sided writings can trick the public into thinking that the complaint us factual.

It appears that the AntlerExpert also received a 'Notice of Subpoena'. Just type in 854428 at this site and go the 'General Comment' that was posted on March 6, 2013 at Ripoff Report #854428 and read it.
Please keep us updated about any lawsuit that may arise from the posting of your Ripoff Report. Thank you.

If you type in 854428 at this website and go to the 'General Comment' that was submitted on March 6, 2013, you will see that the AntlerExpert also received a 'Notice of Subpoena' for posting Ripoff Report #854428.

A lawsuit has been commenced against you. The claims made against you in this case arise from your anonymous post on the Ripoff Report website, referred to on that website as Report # 951667. The lawsuit has been filed in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles ("Los Angeles Superior Court"), and has been assigned the civil action file number BC 518645.
The action pending in Los Angeles Superior Court includes a cause of action for defamation. The plaintiffs in the lawsuit, William Girdner and Iulia Filip ("Plaintiffs"), are specifically named in Report # 951667. As alleged in the lawsuit, the statements made in the above post that accuse Plaintiffs of having sexually molested a three-year-old girl are false statements of fact that are defamatory and unprivileged, and Plaintiffs have suffered damages as a result. The Plaintiffs are attempting to uncover your true identity through discovery to non-parties, in particular Xcentric Ventures, LLC, d/b/a Ripoff Report.
On August 28, 2013, a subpoena was issued from the Superior Court of Maricopa County, State of Arizona, 125 W. Washington Phoenix, AZ. 85003 ("Maricopa County Superior Court"), authorizing Plaintiffs to serve a foreign subpoena on Xcentric Ventures, LLC, in order to uncover your true identity. In particular, the subpoena requested the production by Xcentric Ventures of the following documents:
1. All Documents or information regarding the author of Report # 951667 on the www.ripoffreport.com website, submitted by "me" on or about October 6, 2012.
2. All subscriber, poster, member information, and other information that could be used or could lead to the identification of the individual or individuals using the posting identity "me" on the Ripoff Report website to post Report # 951667, including, but not limited to: all names; usernames and aliases; passwords; email addresses; physical addresses; zip codes; and telephone numbers.
3. Any and all Documents or records pertaining to user login information for the individual or individuals using the posting identity "me" on the Ripoff Report website to post Report # 951667, including, but not limited to: all remote IP addresses with corresponding dates and times logged by your system on each occurrence of the account being accessed, together with a description and log of the activity conducted each time the account was accessed, and remote IP address, date and time logged by your system when the account was created and all other information pertaining to the account in the custody of Xcentric Ventures, LLC d/b/a Ripoff Report.
The subpoena seeks for Xcentric Ventures, LLC, to produce the requested documents described above no later than 9:30 a.m. on September 9, 2013, at the offices of Bryan Cave LLP, Two North Central Ave., Suite 2200, Phoenix, AZ 85004. Xcentric Ventures has indicated they will accept service of the subpoena following the posting of this notice. Unless you move to quash the subpoena, Xcentric Ventures, LLC, may produce the documents requested by the Plaintiffs. You may wish to consult an attorney to advise you about the foregoing.
