Covenant is a joke. They make promise after promise and then screw you when comes time to fulfill! I was promised a 2 cent bonus at orientation and then they gave it to me only to take it back because they made a mistake! It was their mistake! Then they told my team driver he owed them money for the hotel we had to stay in and they're suppose to reimburse! Biggest liars and cheats! My worst check was $3!! How can you live on that? No one can!! Treats the drivers like crap! DO NOT work for them!!! Stay Away!!

I have been employed with this company since the beginning of this year. In addition to the illegal mileage pay (paying drivers on a chimerical mileage route as opposed to the actual or even close to the actual miles driven), they are also in the process of trying to short my bonus by 75% of what I was promised and have in writing. This company is now charging $5.00 a hour for "ecessive idle time." Covenant Transport now has implemented another scheme by charging the drivers for any idle time over 30%. I was charged an outrageous amount just this week. There was no possible way that my specific idle time was over that percentage due to a mechanical proble that stopped me from idling the truck. It had been that way for the prior 3 weeks. When I confronted the charge to payroll, I was told that they don't have records of idle time. Payroll just deducts out the money they are told to deduct. I would have to speak to my dispatcher. When I spoke to him, he stated that there is no way for me to get any proof. THEY ARE CHARGING ME AN OUTRAGEOUS CHARGE THEY WONT PROVE. Not that I should have to pay this anyway. This was not in my terms of employment initially. I am planning my own lawsuit. However, IN FAVOR OF A MULTI-CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT! This company, nor any of these companies should get away with not paying there employees properly.
