After being notified by my company handler or "dispatcher" as they are called in this industry that a $100.00 was coming out of my next paycheck(we get paid weekly)for "idling" the company truck that was  assigned to me. "Idling" is the practice to run the truck engine while stationary in order to be able to run lets say the heater in a freezing night or the AC unit when humidity is at 95+

So if the driver doesn't "idle" he/she gets no sleep...so then next day he/she MUST drive most of the maximum amount of time allowed by the DOT which is 11 hrs!..So now we have a driver that did not had the benefit of a good night rest on AMERICAS roads, upset, grumpy, irritable, ect(due to lack of ZZZZZ!)

He/she could be the one behind you right now, or in the same neighborhood were your kids go to school.

They(refused)are not willing to equipt their tractor trailers with APC units(this units run independent from the main engine at extremely low fuel comsumption).

The shameful part of this is that this company alleges to be FOUNDED OVER christian believes and "practices" of which I as and employee/person don't see the good example to be shown. How is it possible that unless the driver has a "pet" in the truck with him/her he/she can't idle to stay safe and be able to keep others safe? When an animal is more important than the safety and well being of innocent people in general that shows you how low are the values of those running the show. No wonder muslims hate most of our practices.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Now, you know Covenant has an idling policy.  I used to work there.  In fact, I left that horrible company because they were going to start charging 5 dollars an hour for idling, and they gave me no APU.  But with you, you knew about the policy, and then complain, and start Christian bashing, all over what?  You knew they would charge you for idling, and you did it anyway.    I don't blame you for that.  But filing this report is nonsense.  They are only using the very policy you agreed to in the first place.  If anyone is un-Christian here, it is you.... I don't blame you for idling, but you understood already, if you do it at Covenant, they will charge you for it.  My advice is, keep idling, because you need it, and look for somewhere else to work.
