Credit Card Services is still calling Nationwide
Just got another of their automated calls violating all sorts of FTC rules:
1)I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST
2)No call back number in their automated voice sales pitch/spiel
3)if you ask for any information they hang up on you
If you have a phone that shows the number they called from, report it to the FTC and your state attorney general. Sometime the state will act faster than the feds. It took a BILLION complaints before the FTC did anything against the auto warranties phone calling crooks so it will probably take as many to get a fire lit under the feds to go after this bunch of crooks.
My advice is hang up, don't bother to press one or two. If you are a real idiot, then record your conversation and put it up on U-Tube for the world to hear how these crooks operate. This is just a new kind of crime people should be aware of. If people call me and I don't know them and they don't have a good reason for calling me (like a relative is injured/killed/etc) I simply say that I don't talk to people I don't know. Just hang up. Very simple. HANG UP. Or better yet, screen your calls and only use your cell phone for family members. Works for me.
