Credit Education Group CEG ripoff dishonest and took advantage of me Las Vegas Nevada
When my car broke down I wasn't sure where to turn who to contact, when out of the blue a representative from CEG called. At first I was excited, I was told that it would be difficult for me to get a new car without credit, and CEG boasted that they already had a Mastercard ready for me.
It wasn't until I had given them my bank account number, for a check by phone did I begin to reconsider what I had done. The person who told me about CEG told me that it would only take 5-7 business days for my package with my new card to get to me. Six weeks later I got a package that contained a copy of a generic credit application and a little booklet on credit repairs.
The phone number they gave me was disconnected and the second phone they gave me was to a voice mail that never got back to me.
I have since been contacted by CEG once, and have had other members of my household approached to get credit through them. The ironic part was, once we started asking questions about this scam, they hung up on us. Avoid anyone, whether CEG or any other company asking for money for a credit card.
