Reynoldsburg,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds
Mon, June 09, 2008
I read your post and thought that I might be of some service since I am an ex-employee of LOCOB. The first thing is NOBODY at The Law Office of Curtis O Barnes is licenced in NM to sue ANYBODY, so dont worry about that. The next thing is they claim that they will not accept mail in payments but they will. They just want to have them secured via pbp ( pay by phone ). All you have to do is mail it to their physical address and they will be cashed, LOCOB 390 W. Cerritos Ave. Anaheim, CA 92805 If you want to set up an arrangement with them, make a few monthly payments of the same amount, then call in and your account will be moved to what is called the PPA ( Partial Payment Arrangement ) Desk. This person ( and there is only ONE ) in each office, is over ALL the accounts that cannot pay in full or make arrangements of over $200.00 a month. They work on the odds. Meaning, that they will usually take what they can get and move on because they are over approx 2,000 accounts where as the regular "Front Line Collector" is over 350-450 accounts. They usually will look at an account and see that there have been a few payments made over the last few months and they will be more apt to accept the payments that you are making because it is less work for them. Here is the key - They claim that they are not making a commission off your payment and they is a LIE !!!!!!!! They make bonus off your payment and they do not want to let you go without getting something. Hold your ground but remember that even if they refuse to "accept" your payment that if it is mail in, they will. I hope that this helped you out and if you have anymore questions, leave them here and I will respond as soon as I can.
