Rob, in you reply you first state "the first time your laptop was sent to Cyber-Test, there was nothing found wrong with it. Every laptop that comes in goes through three different hands of quality control to ensure that it is working properly. There are stress tests ran, and diagnostic tests as well". Then you say "Now - the last time it came in. Problems were found; and parts were ordered. due to the complexity of the model laptop you had, parts were not readily available". If it was so well tested and your "quality control" was so good why did it go back to the customer broken? The original complaint states that the DVD was still not working upon after he got it back from you. How did you find new problems that you did not identify the first time - did you actually test it the first time? It appears as if you did not. You failed to even acknowledge that the customer was kept waiting for 3 months before HE CALLED YOU to find that you had thrown the computer away! And what was your excuse for that "This was escalated to your warranty company for resolution. Cyber-Test was instructed to discard the unit, and the warranty company was to settle the claim with you on their end". Who at the warranty company gave you permission to throw out property which neither of you own? I would hope that you kept exact details of this supossed instruction from the warranty company. I will be necessary as a defense if Breann brings about a lawsuit, which I would suggest she do. What kind of fool destroys somebodys property because a third part says its OK? Breann, from what you reported I would go to small claims court. Use his response here as evidence that he did not have your permission to destroy your property - he freely admits it here. I would bet that you can recover all of your losses. y

Cyber-Test works on hundreds of laptops per week. the first time your laptop was sent to Cyber-Test, there was nothing found wrong with it. Every laptop that comes in goes through three different hands of quality control to ensure that it is working properly. There are stress tests ran, and diagnostic tests as well. If the laptop passes everything in a few days, it is shipped home. The reason you had to get another work order number, is because your warranty company did not pay for a repair since nothing was found wrong with your laptop. If nothing is done to your laptop, and no repair is needed, you do not have a warranty through Cyber-Test. Now - the last time it came in. Problems were found; and parts were ordered. due to the complexity of the model laptop you had, parts were not readily available. Cyber-Test did an in-depth search for parts, and none were found. This was escalated to your warranty company for resolution. Cyber-Test was instructed to discard the unit, and the warranty company was to settle the claim with you on their end. Please remember, Cyber-Test is a repair facility. We have no say in the terms and conditions of your warranty. P.S. - this is strictly based on the note from the original poster. I have no way to look up the validity of this story without better contact information. Thanks!
