DAN asked for 69.00 for whatever to get his stuff out. So...technically they did ask for money which I did not pay as per online warnings

      DAN has been a successful booking agency for over 15 years booking thousands of talent for paid jobs in TV, Film, Commercials, Music Videos, Runway, Print, Voice-Over and Promotions as well as booking national celebrities for TV and Radio Campaigns.  We sign experienced and trained talent to our roster every day and offer optional development for talent looking to get started in the industry who do not have any knowledge or skills in the industry or professional materials. Development is through hired professional talent and vendors. We do not require any talent to develop through DAN in order to sign with our agency, nor do we have required fees.  If your company is not willing to do anything for children with no experience or no portfolio then leave them alone or tell them that in the beginning. Instead if you all saying ok portfolio, cards, classes, travel expenses will run you about this much out of pocket you all do what it takes to suck a person in. I was in the Wolfchase Mall with my then three year old when a lady approached us and talked about how handsome he was and began talking to us. My son being the outgoing curious child that he is, began talking to her. She asked if we had and head shots of him and if he had any type of experience. I told her no. I thanked her and told her we weren't interested. She gave us a flyer to come speak with the talent agency stressing how she really wanted him to come. So I ended up emailing some at home pictures of him that I took for them. They set up a date and time to meet. We get to the location which is in the Wolfchase area and there's a bunch of other kids. So they're taking the kids one by one to a little corner of the room where they're taking pictures and talking to parents. They tell me that he'll need professional pictures taken to build a portfolio and it'll cost $500 to do with their photographer Kimo Lauer. Ok, makes sense. Let's do it. I get him a couple of outfits to go with some other stuff he had at home....get to the photoshoot and its just me, Kimo and my son in some back room of the agency location with some painted concrete walls and a table that he had my son sit and stand on for the pictures. Pictures get done and get back and they look like something his school could have done but I didn't complain because I couldn't get my money back anyway. Time goes by and I get an email saying that some people in Nadhville saw his pictures and they're interested in working with him so we need to take him there. I get him to nashville (out of pocket for rental hotel gas and anything else travel related) and there's no sign on the door that we're in the right place so I just walk in and finally see some signs. I go bk to the car and get him (from my mom and gmom) and him and I go in. The small room is packed and we barely have space to sit. They tell us that he is going to need to have cards made because whoever they're trying to work with only looks at the cards and not the portfolio. Ok....take the pictures you all have and make him some cards...easy right? Nope. Another $500 and I can only get them through their person that they work with because they won't be accepted getting them done by someone else. I went home to never return. I was not going to continually be nickel and dimed by them. I was only 22 at the time but I was far from naive. This is one company I would ruuunnnnn for the hills from. They don't do anything that actually helps the talent...other than send you around their friends offices and let them all drain your pockets. No thank you smh.

It appears that about every few years a parent who's child was not selected for bookings by our booking clients in the Southeast, blames the agency! There are zero required fees at Dan Talent Group. Period. Clients will not hire talent that do not have training or experience for most jobs that pay professional rates. Dan Talent Group will not sign talent who do not have professional materials or experience to the agency for this reason. We are prohibited from submittIng inexperienced talent to our booking clients. Therefore, Dan Talent Group WILL offer talent options of how they can get training or experience with professional coaches and industry standard photographers etc. Again, no required fees to sign with Dan Talent Group! However, you must be an experienced talent with professional materials to sign with our company.  If you are interested in getting experience to be able to compete with the amazing talent in the Southeast, it is recommended.
