Looking for a quality horse? Want to work with honest people? Run far, far away from dances with horses! These people are not legitimate, lie about their horses, and try to sell and trade for horses that are way better in quality.

Recently these people put up a horse for sale named "Stryker" here was his ad title: DANCES WITH STRYKER - EXOTIC BLACK OVERO PERCHERON PAINT. My friend contacted them about a possible sale or trade and they were quick to say yes. He was listed as a kids safe percheron/paint horse registered under American Paint Horse. Well after some good research and warnings it was found that they are not legitimate and the trade/sale was automatically called off.

Within a few weeks of this all of the sudden the listing was taken down. (They usually just update their listings to SOLD). And in it's place a brand new horse named "Trubador". Surprising the horse looks exactly like the horse listed previously but, hm, the description is different, the name, the photos, the price ($1,000 higher) and the breed/registration! All of the sudden he is now a double registered Frisian Sport Horse.

These people are shady, since when does a horses breed change overnight? DO NOT deal with these people you will regret it!

"Trubador is a breathtaking Double Registered Friesian Sporthorse and Registered with the International Spotted Horse Association. He is a black and white Overo that is 8 years old and stands 16.2 hands tall. Trubador is extremely well broke to ride and drive and absolutely safe for any level of rider from total beginner to experienced. PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE FOR A VIDEO: WWW.DANCESWITHHORSES.COM Trubador is proficient under saddle as well as in driving. Trubador has been in parades, ridden on roads, extensively trail ridden including overnight camping. He will go through water, over logs, and any rough terrain with no issues. He is 100% healthy and sound and current on all vaccinations and worming. Trubador stands perfectly for the farrier, he also loads, clips, bathes with zero issues. He is not spooky and extremely level headed and even tempered. He has no bad habits and absolutely loves people and gets along with other horses. Trubador has amazing markings and a disposition that matches his looks. He is not aggressive in the pasture and gets along with other horses with ease. He is fantastic in the stall or in the pasture. We have shot a gun off of Trubador's back and he would be a fantastic mounted police horse due to his disposition and training. He loves to drive as much as he loves to ride and is a perfect gentleman."

Dances with horses listed this horse as a Friesian cross and listed him at $15,000.  He was listed for sale in MN last month as a Percheron/Shire, with no Friesian and sold for $5,000.  Do not buy a horse from her.

Anyone who buys from Dances with Horses is doing so at their own risk.  Danna Findlay is well known in the draft and Friesian communities as an old school horse broker - she buys horses promising them forever homes to resell within a week, she travels the auction circuite buying cheap to sell high.  The write ups on her horses are lies - she will say she's had a horse for years that she bought at auction the week before.  Her cross breeds are guesses - whatever will sell for the most money is what she states the cross to be.  She recently posted a buckskin for sale as a Friesian x Clydesdale cross and went on and on about her special Clyde mare and how special this horse is to her - until she was called out on the fact it is genectically impossible to have a buckskin from that cross.

The add came down and a couple days later same horse was back up on her site for sale, only now he's a Friesian x Drum cross.  The registration papers that come with the horse you buy more than likely do not belong to the horse delivered - she just tags papers with whatever horse if the buyer demands papers.  If she can get away with not giving you papers she'll take that route too - gives her a bigger collection to choose from when she is asked for papers.  The Clydesdale registry has caught onto her in this game and has cancelled papers on a few horses when they found out she was switching papers.

The Frieisan registry shut her down for selling shipped semen from a stallion who was deceased, thank goodness for DNA testing!  This woman has cause more injuries to unsuscpecting buyers than anyone knows - advertising horses as well trained, child proof, etc does not mean you won't be getting a green broke, smoking dragon when it's unloaded - after all most of the horses she sells she has only had in her possesion a month or less - certainly not hte years she will tell buyers.  She buys, changes the name to include Dances with, does some creative writing for a sales pitch, makes up a pedigree then sells to naive buyers who are ripe for her game.

When you contact her about her lies she threatens law suit, bluffs and beats her chest  - it's all show.  She has several law suits pending, teh FBI is watching her for fraud (since she does primarily internet trading) and most of the breed organizations know to be very cautious and demand DNA on any paper work/registrations received with her name on them.   If you are considering buying from this scam artist document everything, take screen shots of her false write ups, have vet checks done with flexion and x rays (I didn't even go into all the lame horses she's sold as sound) and follow through - you will win the law suit for false representation.  It's time this horse broker was hung out to dry- she is all thats wrong with the equine world.

First of all, this entire website is without merit and they post comments that have zero basis and zero legal back up.  If there was an issue with Trubador or any other horse, there would be a lawsuit that verified such a case.  There is none....I have no idea who this person is that continues to love this website and post ridiculous baseless comments but to settle the Trubador issue once and for all.  First of all, whoever is writing this nonsense is not the owner of the horse and we have zero affiliation with this person.  Secondly, Trubador was indeed sold and is indeed up for sale again.  People sell horses every single day for all kinds of reasons and any educated individual would know this.  Financial, fmaily problems, health problems, and on and on.  All we can say is that Trubador was an amazing horse for us and we have his exact comments from his precise owner on our website under Customer References on the first page at that bottom.  We sold Trubador and the buyers comments are quoted directly from their email and they said he was an absolute gentleman and perfect.    We don't make up comments, they are exact quotes from the buyer's email to inform us of how the horse is doing.   If that has changed, we are not aware of such change but this Rip Off site is not based on ANY facts whatsoever.   The comments made in reference to this particular horse and this sale are made by someone who is anonymous and not related to the purchase whatsoever.   Please, please contact us directly if you read ridiculous claims such as this and have an inclination to believe them.  We can prove otherwise.   This type of site and comments and gossip and garbage is exactly why the internet is a dangerous place, because people can make baseless arguments with zero justification and zero accountability.  Whoever is inclined to continue to bad mouth and make accusations, we invite you to call us directly for the actual facts and then we can all proceed on the same page.  www.danceswithhorses.com    Not every customer is going to be happy and we try very hard to match the right people with a horse that they desire.   We cannot control how a person rides or handles their animals no matter how hard we try.   We are happy to assist any buyer in reselling their horse if they are unhappy for any reason.   In answer to the latest slams by the anonymous writer.....Trubador is up for sale and that is the right of the new owner to do as they wish but to speculate and blame the seller would be utterly ridiculous.   Her comments to us have always been positive about the horse and we have her direct quote on our site for that reason.

Intresting you claim that the owner loves this horse so much, since he is again for sale. It is very interesting that you claim the name change is because he was sold yet he was being SOLD under YOU as two different horses, and you never touched on his registration/breed change either. This horse is now being sold by someone who in the ad was claiming that he is theres and was breed by them. Now the description has been changed, they say they have owned him less then a year and are switching to gainted because of a fall. I bet there is a lot more to this story and this horse. Your ads said this horse was extremely beginner safe for anyone to learn to ride on and handle at a 1 for temperament, he is being sold for an "advanced beginner" or intermediate rider who can be a leader with a temperament of 4.

Trubador was the registered name of the Friesian Sporthorse that has been sold to his loving new family who adores him. Stryker was his barn name and he was merely listed for sale under both.   The horse was always and will always be the same horse.  The new owner calls him Trubador but he was called at our barn Stryker.   All the effort to make it into something else although zealous and emotional, it was completely untrue.  Trubador's new owner loves him and I'm not sure who the author is of this rant but obviously they do not own him
