Danny's Car Wash Not getting what you paid for $$ 100% of the time ripoff Scottsdale Arizona
Everytime I have been to Danny's and paid for the 'step up' from the basic wash - they do not use the wax on my vehicle. You can stand at the windows and watch. I don't know why everyone doesn't. Why pay $5 for nothing? Everytime I've had to tell the cashier I will only pay for the basic - often they are cranky and condesending/defensive. Really - you may be giving them extra money for the upgraded washes for NO reason. Watch out unless you like throwing money away. Happened to me 100% of the time

If the car is run through a machine, the wax is water based, and is applied with the final rinse. If it's a hand-wash, the wax is almost always a spray on from a hand-held bottle. Black Beauty was detailed every week in MD by hand, after being ran through the machine. Down here, she is done completely by hand. The wax used is not a hand-rubbed paste. That's fine for laquer paints. Modern paint jobs require a polymer coating, and that comes in a spray.

As much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree with Peter on this one. If I don't get the service I'm paying for from ANY business, I go somewhere else. To keep returning to a business and paying for a service that you are not getting is a tad foolish don't you think? Heres an idea for you: wash your vehicle yourself and save the money 100% of the time!

If you continue to be ripped off "100% of the time" by this business, why do you keep going back? It would seem only logical to stop doing business with this place and go somewhere else instead. Or at the very least, stop paying the extra $5 for the wax job if they NEVER use wax "100% of the time."
