Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I found dataretrieval.com from a google search.  I called to get a quote because they showed they had a location here in Indiana.  I was given a quote of $199 for a 6 hour diagnostics, and guaranteed 4 day recovery.  I was told that the maximum charge after the diagnostics no matter the issue would be $899.  I drove over two hours to Indianapolis and found that I was dropping the drive off to an answering service, not a data recovery company.  It took two days to get the quote back that was supposed to be a max of $899 was $3750.  I called to talk to someone to get this corrected.  I spoke to several people everyone promised to call me back personally within one hour.  No one ever calls back.  Finally I recieved an e-mail from [email protected] saying they would give me a 52.17% discount if I would sign up for a reoccuring fee to my credit card of of $64.20 per month.  I loged into the web site before reading the reoccuring fee part to pay for my data recovery and paid the fee's.  I called in several more times with no response.  I had to send threatening e-mails to get any response.  Finally I was supposed to be given to the top supervisor ([email protected]).  He assured me that he would reverse the reoccuring fee.  I will skip over the next 50 or so no return calls, and un-answered e-mails.  They require you to sign a form that the payements are un-reversable even if they dont recover anything.  The re-occuring fee's were never reversed.  I keep getting e-mails saying my data wont be released till I sign all of the forms, and make the final payment.  I also get other e-mails saying the data is recovered.  They have also raised the final payment over $300 from thier last quote.  I have asked if 100% of the data is re-covered and get no response.  I dont even know if they really recover data.   I even offered to drive to where ever my drive is and pay cash, or cashiers check because I DO NOT trust them.  I feel totally screwed with no where to turn except legal council.  I was advised to call the local police department and file a claim for theft.  I see that there are many other reports on here with very similar issues.  I would suggest to everyone else to do the same!
