David S. Morganstein is an attorney. He also owns DM Deco's by design. A company which, when I did business with him, was unaware that was under dissolution. I placed an order for aprox. $1250. Paid in advance with a cashier's check at his request. He is an art broker. The order was for him to acquire my own art printed on an acryllic medium. The product did arrive, however severely damaged. I called to notify him several times but his response was only: "I am a lawyer, I know the law and I don't have to provide you with a refund.
Just sell the prints, nobody cares if they are damaged". I contacted the manufacturer and sent them photos of the damage, they agreed and accepted the return, however it was David who had my money. He does not argue at all that he stold my money. He only argues that I should sue his business (which has zero assets) instead of him personally. I won, because his business was disolved, but he seems to think that even though he lost, that he will just carry on because he can't be wrong.
To make the story short, I took him to small claims court. I won. The judge ordered him to pay me back, plus pay the court fees and service fees. But months later and a mountain of paperwork and he still has not filed a financial income statement and we are going back to court again because as a lawyer he does not think he has to abide by the judge's orders. He actually said to the Judge, when announced her judgement and ordered him to file an FIS... " I WILL NOT"
He then proceeded to threaten us in front of her, as a lawyer, that he would sue us for suing him yada yada. To which she demanded he stop. The judge told him quote " Mr morganstein, you took their money and gave them nothing in return, that's just wrong, you will follow my orders" In short, he ripped me off and kept my money giving me nothing in return. The court documents are all public record. Do not buy anything from this man. He has no moral fibers in him anywhere.
