Dealer Rater seems to only post excellent reviews.  I think they charge a fee to dealers so they can in essence create a false positive rating to "certified program" dealers.  My review of the dealer was supposed to have been posted a week ago but they didn't.  This not only is a disservice to the consumer but it is harboring bad dealers by creating a false and positive reputation on the eyes of the consumer.  I checked Dealer Rater before dealing with a dealer and now after reading other peoples complaints on this website I realize that they are not a legitimate and impartial party to a dealers rating.  Too bad they misrepresent their function to consumers.  Shame!

First, thank you for using DealerRater to evaluate automotive dealerships.  With nearly one million unique visitors each month and a new review posted every 55 seconds of the business day - DealerRater can be instrumental in making the decision of who should earn your business for such a large purchase.

I can assure you that every validated review will get posted regardless of whether the review is favorable or unfavorable *and* regardless of whether the dealer is certified.  I would encourage a quick tour through dealerrater.com and one will find an eclectic mix of reviews from all "star" ratings.

I did mention "validated reviews" as we at DealerRater follow a few steps to validate the originating email address.  We admire and encourage consumers to rate their experience with dealerships and are very pleased to post those reviews.  Occasionally reviews are written that are disingenuous from former employees, competitors... (and the list goes on).

DealerRater takes one additional step to insure reviews are accurate and not "fraudulent".  Most importantly, DealerRater insures that consumers realize an accurate summary of what other consumers have experienced at that dealership.

Feel free to contact DealerRater customer service to assist in assuring your review (positive or negative) receives its proper placement.

Thank you for the feedback.  Best regards.
